Hi Tanjafrei and welcome to Chordie,

I assume that you were looking for easier chords so you transposed it +5 semitones to make the Bm an Em. What you have done is raised the key by 5 semitones and the capo (if used) will make it even higher.

If you are wanting to keep the song in the same key then transpose downwards for example going down 2 (-2) semitones would make the Bm an Am but if you then put your capo on the 2nd fret the Am you played would in effect be a Bm.

However getting back to your original transposition of +5 semitones. As there as 12 semitones in an octave by putting the capo on the 7th fret you will be back to the original key albeit an octave higher.

I hope that helps,

Roger

I am just letting you know that it takes forever for every page to load on chordie...and it's becoming to frustrating to use. On average it is taking me 1 min and 12 secs to load a page...and if you're in the mood to play this really takes away the mood...it's just far too annoying...so until the is sorted out..and i mean one second per page...i won't be using chordie any more...

The problem is not on my end....i have a very fast connection...

Your connection may well be ultra fast but if your PC is slow pages will be changing slow. As no one else is experiencing this problem (there would be 100's of comments if it were) it must be something at your end. Check your PC please.

Buddy whilst welcoming you to Chordie I have to point out the 'Sticky' at the start of this section which states how serious posting copyright lyrics is.

I guess that the gauntlet has been thrown therefore I am determined to bake some for myself, so this weekend I will seek out the ingredients. Amy you are right, fermento em pó is baking powder and if bicarbonate of soda is baking soda I already have some in my larder. I have seen a pastry blender in my local supermarket so the only difficulty might be the buttermilk.

Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

Roger

PS. Amy, I was not serious about you sending some out I am really a pretty good cook.

OK but lets get some facts straight right from the start.

One. I do not have a food mixer so it will be a hand job.

Two. I do not know if I can get buttermilk here. Most of the milk sold is that revolting UHT stuff, although one or two places do sell the pasturised milk (and I know all the local shops that do smile). I will make a point of looking for buttermilk, liquid or powder form, when I go shopping this weekend.

Three. I am going to have to find out the Portuguese for baking soda and baking powder as these items I have never bought before.

Four. I better have a supply of Gaviscon (stong stomach medicine not available in Portugal) sent over from the UK before I try my hand at cooking these.

Roger

Stage whisper: I wonder if Amy might send me some if I ask her nicely?????  hmm

Excuse my ignorance, I am but a mere man, but what is the difference between buttermilk and cow's milk?

Hey Leiven,

Sorry to hear about this setback but I will repeat what others have said DON'T sell your guitars and try open tuning with a slide. OK a completely different style of playing but no pressure on the sensitive fingers whist the repair.

Don't get down learn something new and who knows in a few weeks we might hear of you buying a dobro to experiment with.

Take care,

Roger

Hey Doug tell Janet that "non-playing associates" are more than welcome to join and use the 'Chat Corner' to tell the hidden truths lol. Don't forget we already have a tuba tooter so why not a trombonist in our ranks?

Roger

What sickens me is that 'tribute band' will perform an exact duplicate of an artistes song and get paid handsomly for it yet if someone writes the words of that song down for free the copyright lawers are wanting blood.

Hi Jenny and welcome to Chordie,

I could not find the chords to this song on the Internet and, as I do not know it, I found a recording of it and used a progrmme that I have for finding chords and this is not going to be an easy one I'm afraid. Bb, Bbm Ab Ebm F#, F#m with sus variants of several of these chords as well will make it an awkward one to play.

Now the programme I use is not 100% accurate and some of the chords it gives could probably be made easier, also changing the key could make it easier to play but then may not suit your voice. It will take a little time to sort it out, so if you cannot get them anywhere else and you would like me to, I will spend the time doing it for you. I do not want to be wasting my time so please let me know if you really want it.

I always remove all strings and my electric and acoustic guitars when re-stringing as it is the only way to give it a good clean and to treat the fretboard. It had never given me a problem.

You may have put on a set of lighter gauge strings than it had before to cause the buzz but as John has mentioned raising the bridge slightly should cure the problem.

Just tell her that you have a special surprise for her but you need time alone to sort it out............... Just let us know what hospital you are in after you have told her the truth so we know where to send the grapes and cards lol.

I am sure you are a very nice lady in spite of having Brad for a brother (we all have our crosses to bear) lol.

So come on in and join in gang, there are a great bunch of people here who will help in any way that they can, just like your little Bro.

You might try just humming the melody without singing the words first. If this works you can then try singing it.
