I drop the top string down to match the second string at the seventh fret.  It sounds good to me.

Yes, I looked for it also and found only intros and tabs, but no chords.

My father was an alcoholic.  I remember it well.  I have had my trouble with alcohol, but I now only drink once in a while.  A few beers every 6 months or so.  I drank a lot when I was younger.

All I can seem to find are the chords.

I think that must be quite common, Zurf.  I also have days where I just grab the guitar and start playing and singing, and I think, I sound pretty good today.  There are other days where I can't keep a beat to save my soul.  Casll it what you will, but it happens.

Dang, Old Doll.  I haven't seen this trhead for awhile.  The sun is nice if it is not too hot.  I hope you enjoyed yourself in Ballycotton County Cork.  That is a beautiful song also.  Here's some old Jim Reeves.

Interesting topdown.  That's probably as accurate as you'll get with only half the data to work with.  So I am in the 18% above 50.  Sounds about right.  Thanks for that.

Actually, if someone could talk per into putting an age category in our profiles, then the computer could do it automatically.  Just a thought.

Why indeed.  Here you go, hollie.   This ought to do the trick.  And welcome to chordie.

Has anyone thought of showing the ages on a chart?  That would be interesting.

Absolutely.  I just watched an episode a few days ago. The copper clappers is a real funny bit.  It has always made me laugh.  Thanls for bringing that to the forefront.

One of the easy ones, aye Doll?  Good find.

Thanks, Old Doll.  I just got back from up north visiting my daughters and grandchildren.  I had a good time.

Switching is the hard part.  If you can already play right handed, keep it up.  And I don't believe for a minute that you can't become as good a player keeping with the right hand method.  That's bunk.  If you are already comfortable the way you are playing, keep it that way.  And good luck.

The power of positive thinking, my friend.  The best of luck to him and all his friends and family.  Glad to hear it.

Welcome ross.  You'll get lots of answers on this one.  I won't suggest any brands, but I can say that most people on here in past discussions have said they like the light strings.  They are easier on your fingers and still sound good.  The heavier the strings, the deeper the sound, but then your fingers will suffer.  I bought some Martin mediums recen tly and I like them, but I still may go back to the lighter streings next time.  Elixer nanoweb bronze are popular.

David Taub at nextlevelguitar has some good strumming lessons on YouTube.  Try some of these out and let us know what you think.

Ah, that it is the beauty of scales.  You can skip around all you like.  That is what gives lead players the many different sounds they come up with.  This is a simple explanation.  I am sure some of the others who know music inside out can give you a more detailed look at what you are doing when you play scales in order or just skip around.  Play them any way you like and good luck with the new sounds.  Let us know how you are doing.

You love them, be with them and always remain their friend
