Ok - I found it - kind of...
go to this link.... it's on chordify
but the catch is there are two songs... You gotta get through Mr. Muggles to get to Eric's song. It starts on a G chord click on it and it starts to play. Then you can see the chords.
Hope this helps
https://chordify.net/chords/alan-price- … mepictures
once you get there - scroll down a bit and there will be a G with a D under neath it ( it's in the third column)
That's when Burdon Song starts... it shows the keys as he play s and sings it.

I agree !
My mom's gone (died at the age of 82) My mother was 42, her husband {my father} was burned to death in an accident ( I was 8 months old), no job, and 10 kids on a farm. How the hell she managed - I do not know!
My wife is mom to my three daughters... and she has earned every honor that goes with " Happy Mothers Day" ....trust me.
I wish a Happy Mothers Day to all of the Mom's out there. You all deserve medals or a million dollars or something! ![]()
If you had a kid half as hard as I was to raise - God Bless You!
Love to you all on this day and always!

Wow.... Bill...
When I re-read this after you and Mojo commented.... I could read into this to be an air force pilot or serviceman on a mission....
that had never crossed my mind.
Mojo are you a pilot ? or in Air Force?
Jim
P.S.
Phill - see what you started with your poem : )

Bill thanks
Nah -I'm no where's near good enough to pat myself on the back. I just like to write.
I don't why, but stuff just pops in my head when I think about things that are happening around me.
I actually had the chords to this before the lyrics - which is a complete turn around for me.
Here is the soundcloud link to my version. https://soundcloud.com/tigljk/me-and-you-2016-jk
As per usual, my voice is not that of a singer and my guitar skills need plenty of improvement.
Hope it doesn't hurt anyone's ears
but at least you can tell what it's supposed to sound like.
I find it so therapeutic to just play a little , think a little and rhyme a little.
Hope all is well with you and Dondra Bill!!

[Song]
{t: Me and You }
{C; I was thinking about Scott and BGD moving and the challenges of picking up moving a family, and then realized there are also many more challenges as well, even having the courage to step out of the shadows and do something you've never done before ( happens all the time here on Chordie). It would be so difficult to do without support - so I put this little song together. Hope you like it! }
[C] [Em] [Am] [G]
[C] Well it seems we’re about to find out [Em] what it’s like to be
[Am] going out in this crazy world like [G] two ships on a rugged sea
[C] after years of having all of the [Em]safe comforts of our home, it’s,
[Am] time now to turn the pages n' [G]move our lives along
[C] [Em] [Am] [G]
[C] I know it sounds a little scary and we’’ve [Em] got some thing’s to figure out
[Am] got a few questions on our minds and a[G] closet full of doubt
[F] but it’s now or never, baby it’s [C] time to make our move
[F] I know that we can do this honey, just as[G] long as it’s me and you
Chorus
[C]Together, we can do anything, [Am]no mountain we can’t climb
[F] no challenge can bring us down, if I [G]have you by my side
[C] I can’t think of anything now , [Em] that we couldn’t do
[F]Nothing can stop us baby, as [G]long as I'm with you
Repeat chorus (with an added C chord in last line)
[C]Together, we can do anything, [Am]no mountain we can’t climb
[F] no challenge can bring us down, if I [G]have you by my side
[C] I can’t think of anything now , [Em] that we couldn’t do
[F]Nothing can stop us baby, as [G]long as I'm with [C] you
fade.....
[F]Nothing can stop us baby, as [G]long as it’s me and[C] you
[F]Nothing can stop us baby, as [G]long as it’s me and[C] you
(Slower)
[F]Nothing can stop us baby, as [G]long as it’s me and[C] you
[/song]

AH PHILL - THE LAST LINE IS THE BEST ..... MAJORCA - TIME GOES TOO FAST I'M SURE !
Always best when it's filled with children, or even grandchildren I think.
Vacations with just the wife are fine - very nice, but it's the kids to me that make them so memorable.
lastly, vacations are such a necessary part of life, and we all have ore special places we like ( or would like) to go.... but in the end..... somehow it does always seem to feel real good to get back home.
Thanks for the poem Phill.... made me stop and reflect on many great memories.

Re: Daryl - self-taught guy (13 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
Daryl - welcome to the best place for getting help from the friendliest people on the planet.
I am sure Scott has sent you to the right place. and I am sure he is an excellent mentor for learning guitar.... after all - he is "the Metalizer" and he has covered a couple of my songs really nicely and very cool!
Just like the three words that are the most important words in real estate are " Location,Location, Location" the three words for guitar playing are " practice, practice, practice"
With that being said however, as a sports coach of over 30 years, practice is only beneficial if you are practicing correctly and improving. Make sure you get the right techniques to practice, because practicing the guitar the wrong way just reinforces bad guitar playing. There are loads of guys and a few gals here that are terrific musicians that you can learn a great deal from... I'm not one of them, I just like to write songs:)
Anyway... welcome to the Chordie family.

I agree with K.I.R, it sounds like there's some anger in there. When you get people to agree on the message of your lyric, I think you can say mission accomplished! Well done.

EB
How ironic
Last night after I got back from a softball game I drove up to Stewart's Convenience store to get Ice cream for the girl's on my team. I had to wait for this guy in front of me at the cash register, who was having his tickets checked to see if they were winners. He is a good guy, I know him well (in fact a former student of mine) has a great little family and he works hard as a welder. But I am not exaggerating, he must have had them check hundreds of dollars worth of tickets and scratch off.s It took almost 12 minutes for the girl to scan them all. In the end- he won 9 dollars- and what did he do ? Didn't take cash but more tickets.
What also amazes me is when its the power ball at 150 million....people come out of the wood work to buy tickets. Like if they won the weekly one at 15 million it wouldn't be worth buying a ticket but for 150 million its a bargain ! ![]()
Nice poem EB, I enjoyed it!!

Holy Crap Badeye - that was awesome.
Love how they fed off each other and especially the end playing from the underside of the guitar.
I sure wish I could play 10% of that. Very gifted.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and to Scott, Amy and Phill ( which will be posted as well soon) who all did beautiful covers, each in their own way - and all so very cool.
This is a link to the TV commercial I watched the night before I wrote this song, and what I was thinking of as I wrote it.
Angels are just people sometimes I believe.

Re: Prog Rock Wednesdays (580 replies, posted in Bands and artists)
Robert Plant was one of those vocalists that I was referring to in some other thread on here. That " special voice" that is instantly recognized.
Add that to the incredible musical abilities of the others in LZ and it's no wonder they were so great !
Thanks for the reminder TF!
Jim
Stairway is still my favorite song of theirs however.

Very nice !
Last ending you added.... a little hard to catch the words...
but I think it was
"so close your eyes, everything will be alright, there's angels in the room"
It fit nicely.
Thanks for the cover !
It did have that Pink Floyd feel - very unique. ![]()
