I have to agree with the lady on this I dont care to much for bands or artists who use this "tribute" crutch to mask there own inability to be unique or original and some vicariously live there lives thru there idols gaining identity with false "tributes" these people are no better then sick bed lawyers waiting for the patient to die to profit from there demise the only one worthy of tribute is God Almighty the rest of these clones will inherit nothing more then mediocrity.

Butch I use a Standard S101 its a Fender Stratocaster copy made in China I got it for around $180.00 new(no case)and a small 40 watt amp with overdrive for practice and small gigs its plenty loud it only has one input with two channels made by Epiphone it has a 10 inch speaker and headphone input for around $45.00 used if you go to a music store there are lots of good used amps you can haggle with the dealer over plus a few effects boxes with reverb or delay and distortion but the amp already has distortion so I would look for a inexpensive stomp box with delay or reverb or both,my effects units are a Boss ME-50 Hendrix Crybaby waw waw and a Boss RC-20XL loop station dont get no better (at least for me) but you should go to a music store and try out a few guitars and amps and see if you can get a bargain good luck with it and CRANK IT UP!! lol

Kentucky lost tonight it was an unbelievable game West Virginia missed all there 2 point shots in the first half but made all there 3 pointers, in the second half it was the other way around they missed most of the 3 point shots but made most of there 2 point shots and a high percent of there free throws to win by 6,Kentucky had a miserable free throw percentage which made the difference in the outcome but it was a great game to watch smile

I just finished "war of the worlds" by H.G. Wells the original version quite differen't from the Tom Cruse and Gene Barry movies but almost word for word with the English Version (I have a copy on videotape) its a lot better when you can use your imagination to picture what the characters look like plus the locations good reading smile

Hi shumn I use a Boss ME-50 effects pedal and a Hendrix crybaby wah all the sounds you could ever want are there but you have to take the time to find yours. there are other pedals and stomp boxes out there to be sure but the Boss has overall more to offer for me,I use the distortion, delay and harmonizer it sounds hot playing harmony with sustain and a little delay but there's a lot more to discover but like I said you really have to play around and experiment smile

If Chordie were closing the moderators would be the first to know and I have recieved no such advanced notice I think Marc is having personal problems or has decided to leave of his own accord.

that depends on if you want to use open chords or bar chords, transposing down or up is easy if you understand the scales construction if you want or like open chords then a capo will make it easier but say for instance the song is in A you can play an open E form with a capo on the 4th fret the open A form on the 4th fret is a D and the open D is a G I mentioned the cycle of 5ths clockwise its the cycle of 5ths counter clockwise its the cycle of 4ths now if the song is to high to sing lower the capo two frets and an open E form now becomes a G the A form is a C and the D form is an F an easy way to understand it is start with 1st posistion open E then A D G C these are all open chords and also the cycle of 4ths if you start with open C to G D A E that is the cycle of 5ths smile

resprod you can transpose up or down if you know a little theory and this question is better asked in the music theory forum it involves intervals or steps and a chart of the cycle of 5ths would be helpful without basic understanding of theory a capo is a good idea but that only helps so far as I stated earlier this question is better answered in the theory forum here on Chordie smile

not so Georgia,Abilene and a host of others use C to E or E to G# major (1,3 major) these are concidered outside chords smile

and the 3rd has to be a minor chord rather than a major to fit into that specific key, ect.
