Hi redrider 37 and welcome too the forum their are a lot off us in your age group here and many are just starting or picking the guitar back up after many years. I am not really do not know much about  John Prine, and tabbing songs either.I am sure someone will see this and give you some help.

You might try too get the blues scales memorized a bit then you would be able too play alot of blues tunes by ear.

I watched an old movie last night and saw aguy playing an achordian in it ,anybody know anything about them,they look hard too play. (I know I spelled it wrong )
