Ark first the video, this is a very nice marriage of animation and music the music really fits well with the assembly on the Condor this I envision another video of this magnificent bird in slow motion flying over the white cliffs of Dover and skimming the oceans surface I'm not an ambient fan but I do enjoy what you have composed it seems you've been busy also nice smile

Thank you Ark I guess after a while somethings start to fall into place and mixing is as you know a large part of a song I have to agree about the Dire Straits comparison but others have indicated I do but as ctech has said thats not a bad thing I am moving in a direction musically that seems to be natural for me so I aint  gonna fight it just roll with it and see where it leads me smile

Nice one Shady Les Paul was raised a few miles from me and I remember watching him on the tele "the Les Paul and Mary Ford show" all his recordings were unique and I think he was about the fastest and best guitarist on the planet I will give a listen later when I have a few minutes very good lyrics smile

Hey Russ...:)
Did any one ever tell you that your style is similar to Dire Straits...I can hear it smile in this song.  That's one of the cool things about listening to your tunes.....Your flexibility.
Listening to your tunes is like a box of chocola....You know what I'm gonna say. lol

The sign of an artist is versatility.
I be liking this one to-o-o.

Thanks Trevor I really dont try to sound like anyone, when I started composing this it was just a beat with a bass added with a rhythm guitar I used the pads in conjuntion with the pattern on my alesis to give it a little more realism and bounce after listening to it I composed the lyrics then added the keyboards what came out was a modal feel and the vocals were based on this and the lead guitar part kind of fell along smile

Thanks Selso I wrote it a few hours ago and laid all the tracks I used the on board effects on my Boss BR-8 for everything but first I laid the tracks in the loopstation one at a time rhythm, bass, and rhythm guitar and it was premixed and sent in on two tracks then I added two keyboard tracks, vocal a lead guitar I used a Digitec vocalist to produce the harmonies and lead vocal with a foot switch to bounce between lead vocal and harmony all in all I used 8 tracks but actually more like 12 because 4 of the tracks were mixed as 2 in stereo I did the final mix adjusting the eq's and panning with a touch of delay on the lead guitar smile

rstauffe right here! you came to the right place as you have stated money is the big issue ok you can download a free program called Audacity and below is a link to mediafire on it are several free videos that show you how to use this program, you can burn a CD with your media player or there are other programs like Nero which may cost around $30.00 but it is a better program for doing this but the media player on your PC is free I will find the link for downloading Audacity there are other freeware programs but this may be the easiest to understand it was for me anyway so give me a sec and I will find the link ok here ya go
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/  just download the one for your PC(vista or whatever you have)
to get started smile

just A/B would sound a little strange unless it was part of a larger chord, say if you added a F# it sounds ok it would be some form of a minor 9th as B in a A chord is the minor second or extended it would be the minor 9th smile

not sure what you mean? Are you saying the bass needs to be turned up? It definatley needs a lead riff, I'm just not much of a lead player

It's weird, when I listen to it on windows media player the bass is way loud, almost to loud. When I listen on Myspace it does sound really quite. Any ideas why?
