Since so far Badeye has not made it back yet, I am going to post one more blues fix. Today's Blues is from Janiva Magness - You Were Never Mine. She is current and is on tour now and from what I listen to she is very good.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK1RgJzMgwc

Bill this one was much smoother and sounded great. One comment if you think one note was off it was not. So don't take time over thinking it and just keep going. If you believe a note in  your voice if off if you keep no one else other than you, will will notice. I promise you that.No one is perfect not even so called pros.

I received a set of La Bella Vivace Fluorocarbon Classical Guitar Strings - Medium Tension and installed them one of my daily practice guitars. The basses sound okay and the trebles sounded very tinny, and they are much smaller in diameter than the 2001 Medium Tension strings. In short I honestly do not like them. I called La Bella and talked to expert in classical strings. They said the   Vivace Fluorocarbon is a series that most do not like and said the 2001 series is their best string. So later tonight I will change them again with my normal strings.  Sorry I wanted to like them but just don't.   Also they are not really new they have been out for a couple of years.

I talked with LaBella this morning and I will have a set of Vivace in the mail by Thursday.  By the way 2001 series is just a number and does not indicate a year. They also have a 820 series tooo.

They are wonderful and with three sets of drummers and other instruments they are fun to listen to them.

I have some speakers to use if the main system goes down but they are not in the same league as what you use with electric so my comments are not relevant.

I use LaBella 2001Medium Tension and they the first string that I can change and play within an hour after changing. I have ordered a years worth. They are by far the best string I have ever used. Even my wife can tell a difference in the sound.  Plus the 2001 strings are 6 to 8" longer than the Pro Arte string s. Two days they no longer stretch.

This is the single best version of Summertime I have ever heard.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMAnrGj4OCg

Thank you and very informative.  I know a couple of bass players that also use Nashville. One of them plays with a band and I know all  them. They use Nashville because one of them remembers numbers and not chords or riffs.

I enjoyed this one. Both were playing classical guitars and both used there right leg and neither looked at their hands. Great playing and very clean. TF this was a great find. Thank you.

Do you normally use Chords, Riffs, or Nashville Numbering? Here is a link to Nashville Numbering: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashville_number_system

Polemonium some the  Alvarez  are made in the US, some are made in Japan, and others are made in China. They sell any seconds at a large discount. In Japan and China usually the brand, in this case Alvarez has people in each location to insure quality.  What is the most important thing is how your guitar plays and sounds.

Bill play one song over and over until you know it by heart, and then work on the next song  the same way. Then you can work on your voice and that way it will become much smother.
