My wife is a Cookie Mom.  Girl Scout cookies have taken over my household for the past several months.  There are CASES of cookies in my wife's van.  Or were until I posted that on the internet.  I should just call the auto glass repair place right now.  Yeah, we've got cookies.

The ice cream shop we frequent bought up a bunch of thin mints, crushed them, and put them into ice cream as the flavor of the day yesterday.  Yummmmmm.  I'd ship you some Russell, but I think the box would get soggy.

Thin mints and Ice cream are a good combo... Russ if you really want some, give this a try

My landlords daughter is a girl scout and every year I buy about four boxes of samoas from her so far my landlord hasn't raised the rent so I'll keep buying those cookies, unfortunatly they dont last to long as I am a big cookie fan it go's good with the ice cream a substitute for beer which I had to give up a few years ago this combination puts on pounds just like beer but without the hangovers in the mornning smile

Stephen I used to have the old tube screemer im not to familiar with the new one but the new effects pedal I just got has the same features and sound,I remember having 4 stomp boxes and a waw waw pedal this was before they had all the units mounted in one unit and the boss ME-50 covers all these effects and a whole lot more,I still have the Jimmy Hendrix cry baby and it still performs as great as the day I got it just a little worn from the road wear like me lol

Hi 06,

Since you guys are just getting started, I would probably just use mp3. It is true that the quality is not as good as .wav but it will probably be easier using mp3 and most emails should handle these files. This will keep you from having to obtain another account on another website. I think g mail will allow up to 10MB files but I'm not sure. Like Doug and Russell mentioned, you might want to keep in mind the website "mediafire" in case you get serious about recording and want to trade a higher quality sound because this site will allow something like a 100MB file upload without paying for a membership. And believe me, if the "recording bug" bites you like it did me and a lot of the other members on chordie, you will definitely want the highest quality you can get,,,,for free of course...

if the file is not to large he can email it or open a mediafire account its free and if both of you have one you can upload your tracks and exchange send them as mp3 or wav or flac format smile

If gray is a sign of wisdom, then my chin is pretty darn wise.  I was looking at those pictures thinking, "When did my friends get so old?"

I use the 1 2 3 as it gives me the option of playing the D on the second string third fret along with the G and I dont have any problem with the transistion to C from G also you can walk down from G to open E (E, F# Em) but whatever is easiest for you works for me smile

If you pick the 6th and 1st together then pick the 4th 3rd and 2nd it could be 4/4 or 2/4 depending on the number of beats in the bar 4/4 is counted 1 2 3 4  2/4 is counted 1 2 1 2 with the accent on 2 in both, 3/4 time is counted the same way if its strumed or picked arpeggio but arpeggio is easier in 6/8 time as theres more beats (6) in 3/4 time your playing triplets with the accent on the 1st beat smile

It has been a month since I turned over my digital recorder to the engineers at Trax studios so they could extract each song one track at a time in order to transfer them to there Pro Tools equipment well yesterday I picked it up and it seems like a eternity since I laid any tracks at home or composed any new songs I have been filling the void with online chess games and teaching and I upgraded my effects and I am looking forward to recording some new material,I did manage to supplement my new TV with a surround sound system, darn it sure sounds good its like being at a movie house, but back to my first love I will be recording some new ideas and hopefully upload them to myspace later next week and officially I would like to welcome Arkady to the recording forum he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and ain't to bad a picker when he's not tickling the keys, I still have not received an answer regarding the Chordie Project and some other options may have to be looked at more to follow as soon as I have more info smile

fordie every audience is "unknown" unless there your relatives or friends and not everyone is cut out for entertaining if front of people if you enjoy playing your guitar thats all that really counts smile

Hi fordie this is a common occurrence and unavoidable if your first starting out, but it could be that your strings are either to high or the gauge is to heavy you might try lighter( thinner) strings or if your guitar has a adjustable bridge lowering it or both, also shortening your practice time till your calluses build up on your fingertips smile

Good pull Russ you got yours cheaper than I got mine and I bought mine direct from Roland but than again I had to pay tax. I have a childhood friend more like a sister that works there so I get all my stuff at cost.  All I can tell you is love it, love it and love it.

skydivr 103 I have owned each of these guitars and the strat has a unique sound I have played one for the last 25 years, both the ES and les paul are fine instruments but in my opinion the strat has a greater range of tones and fretability smile
