Thanks guys,

I really appreciate all the nice thoughts. I am a very lucky man to have the wife that I do, you guys blow her head up on here, because I read her all of your posts, she gets a big kick out of them.

Wibaye, yes the support is invaluable to me, from her and people like you and others on here.

Topdown and Pix, maybe someday soon I'll be able to keep up with you guys.

Bensonp, thanks so much for the kind words, much appreciated.

Zurf, my wife said to tell you thank you for such a sweet thought and that she really appreciated that.

Nela, She got a big kick out of your reply and a big smile, I'm sure you'd never trade your wife, I bet she's a great one.

Her name is Felicia, and she's just as beautiful as she is sweet, ok, ok I'll quit gushing over her, thanks again guys!

Hi Everyone,

As some of you may remember my sweet Wife a little while back gave me the ok to purchase a new Martin acoustic/electric guitar with a very nice amp. Well this morning she suprised me again. She has paid for me to get 6 months worth of lessons with a private instructor to help me with the things that I struggle with, and believe me there's plenty I need help with. I wanted to share this with everyone here that has also been a big help to me, and it's been much appreciated. I was picking with her about the lessons saying that well, that means you think I have a little potenial, or that I really stink at guitar. Anyway as I said I couldn't wait to let everyone know, I do have a sweet sweet wife who I adore very much and with her help and support and the advice and helpthat I get from everyone here, maybe I'll wind up with the confidence to soon go over and play with Topdown who dosen't live far from me, maybe even GuitarPix could come up if he's willing. Anyway thanks again to everyone's help here at Chordie.

OK, Here's another funny one , but for the record, I in no way endorse the word he use's to describe her, but it's funny just the same. Maybe we should make this a funny song with a funny video thread, got any more?

Dang it,

I thought Eagleeye might buy us all a new guitar for Christmas this year, oh well, these scams happen all the time.

Great Job Jerry,

I really commend you for what you did. The elderly appreciate things like that so much. I'm sure they'll be even more excited when you go back. I think it would be great if you dedicated a song to the lady with the birthday next time, a special song just for her.

Hey MKM.

I live only about 30 or so minutes from Topdown, and here where I am we only got a couple of inches if that much. The snow line hit right in btween us.

Forget the F chord, I'm still trying to figure out whar "pejorative" means. I gotta get the dictionary out on that one.

Thanks Doug,

Like you I don't won't to offend anyone, I'm sure we all hate war,and I know this is a touchy subject with some, however I understand the nessecity of it to keep the world free, a freedom that to many of us take for granted or to lightly. I thank you and all others who have served proudly and to the many other Soliders, from other countries that we stand by ..and they by us,, to defend freedom. It was a very moving piece thanks again for posting it,

Hey Topdown,

I have a Brother, who like me is from Noth Carolina, but he lives in out on Long Island in New York. I think I'll ask him if they call him a damn Southerner up there, I guess that would only be fair if they did. Actually he loves it there, but me, I'm a warm weather kinda person. While I love North Carolina, it's got everything from the Blueridge Mountains to the Outer Banks and everything in between as you know living here yoursel., if I had it all to do over again, I just might be living in the Caribbean. I'm with you on the booze tomorrow night though. Have fun in the snow!

Sure enuff, been listening to them since the early 70's great stuff by CCR. John Fogerty has stood the test of time, especially when we does songs like this one

Hi MeKidsMom,

Try this link for the Agiles, but remember you can't hold this one in your hands first, thats the only bad thing.

http://rondomusic.com/

Also you can get a nice little pratice amp for around $100.00 a line 6 Spider 3 amp has lots of effects for a small amp with lots of distortion or a good clean sound.

Hi MekidsMom,

I'm certainly no expert here as some are, but while the Strat= Tele and Les Pauls are of course great guitars they will cost you a pretty penny. I've heard it said on here many times that you should buy the best guitar you can afford "and I agree with that" but if one can't afford the Strat's Tele's or Les Pauls then as Geoaguiar said The Agiles get great reviews or even a copy. There are other guitars out there that sound great that dosen't cost near as much, anyway, I'm sure whatever he picks out he'll love, and I'd like to add that I think it's great that you are doing so much research for him, and that the two of you support each others love of music!

Cam

I've always been a fan of his too! except when he did his little disco thing, now that I didn't like.
