You should be able to bypass the Dropbox following the instructions listed on the above page.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I don't use the App and frankly aren't that interested in reading the Manuals for every application on the planet to be well versed.
We had no idea you and Dino were Twins !!
Happy Birthday! You Guitar Hoarder you.
I heard that folks that have more Birthdays.... Live Longer !!
Have a Good One and many more.
May all your problems be small ones !!
Cheers!
Nice restoration !!! Well Done !
I'm going along with Jan on this for sure, the compensated bridge is offset to allow more even tension on the strings at tune, and might pose a problem with a new player (whose fingertips are likely going to be suffering for awhile anyway). Many folks tune down and capo up to ease that "break-in period" and then intonation will matter. Left handed guitars hold their value well and if you were to invest in one and it doesn't work out in say a few months or a year, you will get really close financially out of it as a pre-owned instrument as you would "current stock new" of like make and model. Even a new Epi is only a couple hundred dollars + and fine instruments for the $$, certainly not the "guitar shaped piece of cardboard" commonly sold as "perfect for the student guitarist" these days. It is easier to learn on a good one IMO.
let me get this straight..... you already had a functioning Windows 10 on your PC and it tried to install the whole thing again??? At best you should have only needed an update, not an "upgrade".
If that is the case, I would restore the previous version and then check for updates (for drivers, security flaws etc.). Like Dino I subscribe to that old "if it ain't broke, why fix it" school of thought. But having said that, you can contact me with more specifics and I'll take it up with our IT staff and see if we can come up with a solution for ya.
To our many good friends in the North, Happy Canada Day !! I will add that Canadians are among the most polite people in the World..... if you run a stop sign and crash into a car with Canada Plates, the driver will likely step out and apologise for being in the road for you to hit.
Depending on how the Election goes, we might not be just good friends, but ACTUAL Neighbors...... how are Real Estate prices by the way??
Go ahead and crow all you want !! We have high hopes for our Welsh bretheren over here too.
Nice looking toy there Roger, but I'm sure waaay too complicated for a geezer like me..... keep in mind that I Flunked out of "Hurdy-Gurdy" School.
Have Fun with it!!
Well I have one that night work in the period that you specified...... Written by Yup, Willie Nelson, I would use The Platters' version of "Only You". Good vocal harmonies, not too difficult chords and an easy beat without need for any fancy guitar fills. Most folks would know it and likely "sing along" so if you don't exactly sound like the original, nobody will notice. Recorded and Released in 1953.
Anybody want to add other selections?
Rather than slitting your wrists........ just hand them a straight razor as they leave the stage, and direct them to the alley door with some kind of comment about "we don't want yer blood all over our venue.... Thanks!".
Thanks for the prompt response... no worries then.
On to your question, there is a thread up in "About Chordie" that addresses the Chopro problem, essentially it is "broken" and on the list of things to be "fixed as time allows". Between "squishing Bugs" and "spanking Spammers" folks have been busy, but the Powers that Be are aware of the issue and it will be addressed in due course. You might want to wander up to that section and voice your problem specifics to assist... Please.
Thanks Again
Are we to assume that you have Copyright Permission to post this tune on the Author's behalf ??? OR would you like to edit your post to make it follow our guidelines supporting Copyrights and substantially edit/remove most of it to protect everyone from the "carnage" ?
Okay..... I'm gonna chuckle on this for a few seconds, , , , , , Now that's over, I remember hanging around a sound engineer who at one time mentioned that I was shopping way over my head putting together a really "Hi-Fidelity" sound system. His point has haunted me ever since, first off we are "Guys" and incapable of hearing above or below certain frequencies courtesy of "Mother Nature". Women have much more range of hearing than we. So I was advised not to seek much above 75-80 Watts per channel output and look more specifically at the frequencies that the speakers can reproduce below that threshold. The lesson here is that no matter how good the recording (or media) is, without the ability to hear and appreciate it, is it still a good value?
Everyone is unique and your mileage may vary, but I doubt that I could tell the difference if there was one.
Good Morning Y'all, Well I've kinda been keeping in touch with Bill on the "back channel" and perhaps I should put this out there for other's benefit as well.
Thanks to Amy (and her fine memory) the application Roger has been using is "Band in a Box".... an alternative to the "Garage Band" that our Apple "Fans" will remember.
There was a time when all us PC users were envious that it was not ported to Windows so we too could play around with it (or was it just me?). Well I'm one of those "open source Geeks" and with a little looking I found something "close" in LMMS...... for those of you willing to experiment the link is: www.lmms.io
It is "cross platform open source" so there are versions for all three major OSs, at the preferred cost of FREE (donations gladly accepted) !!
[This is where I should just copy Amy's disclaimer.... re: I don't work for them, I'm not endorsing the software, Yada yada yada.... You get it.]
HAVE FUN!!!

However, I do have a question about another former chordie regular - Whatever happened to Gil ( the singer / guitarist from San Fran ) ? He sent me an email saying got banned, but no one ever gave him a reason why.
I thought he was a good dude.. always nice to my posts and requests.
Anybody know anything about him ?
That is a good question, he has never done any wrong things here.
Well this doesn't have anything to do with Pete, but seeing as how a couple of you have asked, I'll take a stab at answering your question about Gil.
As to what happened to him... he's still out there making music and selling his CDs on Acoustic Guitar Forum and likely elsewhere, you could find him with a look around. He should be aware about why he's not welcome here anymore because we had several conversations with him about it, before the decision to ban was finalized. If no body noticed, his links to his covers and website linked to a place where you were invited to buy CDs of his music (for like $15 if I remember correctly), and it all came down to the Chordie policy prohibiting Commercial Advertising (Spam). The question was : Do we make an exception because a person has been a Member for awhile, OR to we hold everyone accountable to the same standards as we do for those folks trying to sell sex-toys and escorts in Delhi..... No advertising, means no advertising ! He was asked to remove his commercial links a couple of different times and we either got no response or our requests went in one ear and out the other.
Nothing against the guy's talent, just tried to "bend the rules".
I'll save my "chicken stories" for around the campfire (someday)..... lived and worked on a ranch for a few years, learned Waaayyyy too much about the business, but plenty about genetics, diet, hatchery operations, and more. The "home-school" aspect is almost limitless (depending on how deep you want to dig).
Helpful Hint: Keep your Hen/Rooster ratio around 10:1 for best production and stress-free birds.
Oh yeah, go for the Gazebo. Your Pergola will just turn into a roosting rack, unless you like feathers and fertilizer in your fruit-salad.

Oh I have !!! NONE of which are suitable for this Public Forum!
But guitars don't need names..... they all know we love them anyway.
So I'm guessing you need the "Burrito Wrap" size Zig-Zag papers for that?
Sounds like a Parteee to me !!! But once again I'm not going to make it this year.
Have Fun y'all.
As long as the chair has it's own amp it should work. You might have to insert a pre-amp in the line in order to hear it though.... output from just the pickups are well below the line level or speaker out that the chair would be happy with.
ETA: If you let the "smoke" out of something that would be terrible, so I'm not taking the blame for this one! If in doubt do your "homework" and check/double-check specifications and tolerances of everything, call the maker and ask questions etc..
Semper Fi Brothers & Sisters
Or something has changed on your end..... an update perhaps? You might check out this thread for an answer and/or "specialized assistance":
