You're going to have a hard time deciding what to bring to NY.

I suggest a U-Haul and bring 'em all. smile

Happy NGD.

Hi Bill
I have thrown a rough attempt on soundcloud for a couple of days of your clever piece. Hopefully someone who is better at that sort of genre will put together something that will do your piece more justice.
Your friend,
Pete

Is there a link for that "rough attempt"?

Nope. I've had to bail out of the last two at the last minute, much to my dismay. sad

I met up with Zurf and Topdown in Md. last June. There was someone else there but he got sick or something and I didn't ever see him. Then went to NY in Aug. and met Jim, Amy, DE and Roger

They have lots of tent area. That's what I did last summer.

It's appeared to me to be a bit of a tourist area. Rooms might be a little salty at that time of year but Amy would know better than I would.

Yep. I'm there. http://www.desismileys.com/smileys/desismileys_3099.gif

90% of the time I'm playing 6 strings. It takes me a few songs to get adjust to the wider neck on the 12. I find myself missing the strings when reaching for those fill-in notes between chords. But after a few songs it comes around.

I'm not exactly a computer geek and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

I just set up an account last September and added a second one in October for the Chordie Pa get together.

I don't think it works that way.

Unless you changed your IP address every time you went, it wouldn't register you as a new visit every time.

OK fellow Chordians. This thread has 6150 views. The map itself has 501 views but we only have 49 "pins".

Me thinks there are a few folks that are holding out on us. smile

Here is the link to the map.

Very nice Kim. I went through your entire series of videos. You have a lovely voice.

Me? I can play the guitar but I sing like a bullfrog in heat. roll But I enjoy it.

Enjoy your ukulele journey. You've made great progress in a few short weeks. Hopefully you can join us at one of the Chordie events this year.

The rodent lied!

A couple inches of fresh, white spring on the ground this morning with record cold forecast for tomorrow morning.

I'm thinking Punxsutawney Phil has been indulging a little too much.

Both great songs but something about "Old Friends" just spoke to me.

I felt that way when I first signed up too. . I only found the site because I went searching for the words to Billy Joel's Piano Man so I could settle a disagreement with someone. I poked around for a few weeks before I actually joined. It seemed like most of the regular posters were pro or at least semi-pro but it soon became apparent that all the folks around here were  regular people. A few just happen to make their living with music.  I met a few face to face last year and hope to meet a few more this year.

That weekend works for me. But I can be pretty flexible so if another date works for others I can make it work for me as well.

Speaking of home baked cookies... if you're not in the US over the summer, then maybe UJB will have another PA gathering in the fall... I have to return to that one as well because he's holding a container of mine hostage until I return with more cookies!  big_smile

Yes I'm planning on another Chordie Pa. My brother asked me about it a few weeks ago. Like you, it's a little too far out to set a date but I'm looking at the first weekend in October which would be 9/30-10-2.

And I'm very proud of your cookie container. It has been up there all winter without any guards and it didn't try to make a run for it. smile

Here's a little help finding that NY Gathering MKM was talking about.
