do you have a electronic tunner if so play the song thru the speakers and turn the tunner on it will indicate what key the song is in or close to it,if its a chromatic tunner you can calibrate it to the song by switching the calibrate button or selector switch in the back,if you dont have a tunner it would be a inexpensive solution for your tunning problems

understanding theory allows you to trandspose into any key quickly as each step of any given scale is an interval of so many steps from the root or tonic in the c scale its easy because there are no sharps or flats to deal with so C D E F G A B C becomes
                                                      1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 or an interval of a
second,third,forth,fifth,sixth,seventh,eights or octave and as long as you take the key your transposing from all you have to do is locate the chord and its distance in intervals from the root ( starting key note) and apply that to the new key you are transposing to

got a great book on it the thumb is refered to as the " pulgar" and I for indice(index) m for medio (middle) and a for anular(ring) travis pickin is used extensivly by many of the top country and folk artist it was a frustrating style to learn at first but with perserverence it paid off i feel a lot more comfortable  with this style it was worth the effort smile

the bo diddly beat brings to mind african tribal rhythems this is not a racial comparison only a point of reference the same can be said for latin american rhythms or the boingings of a diggeredoo the instrument from australia a good example of native rhythems is the drummer gene krupa true he was stoned most of the time but he ushered in a exceptance of this form of rhythem because he was cauacsion there were other drummers who played the same like cozy cole but because they were not caucasion there popularity was reastricted to the afro american populace and thru the years this rhythem has become the norm.

you will need a scanner or you can request someone you know to print out the song, scan it into there files and email you the file I can do this for you just select the song you want or another way is to take a screen shot of the whole page and paste it into your word program or word processor 1.locate the song on chordie 2.click "print screen" on your keyboard 3. open your word program (on windows or vista) or your word processor click "file on the upper left and "new" a blank page will appear then RIGHT click and select "paste" and the whole song will magically appear on the page smile

Slap and pick or strum creating a rythem by slapping the guitar in between beats of a measure used extensively in flemenco and some latin folk songs as well as american folk songs I had a vidio tutorial i made of it on u tube a while back

I learned by ear at first but the faster way to learning harmony is to understand the major c scale and the intervals there is a section on chordie about theory moderated by jerome who is one of the best theory teachers ( other then myself ) actually I think he's a little better lol and he will point you in the right direction good luck smile

I woulden't go so far as to say he "invented" the rock and roll sound because chuck berry was around at the same time along with little richard,jerry lee lewis,buddy holly,link ray and a host of others.If I recall bo diddly had only one hit "hey bo diddly" i cant recall any others but chuck berry and little richard spearheaded the rock and roll movement and the rest jumped on the band wagon it could be argued that bill haley and the comets were the first published and public recorded artist with 'rock around the clock" I was a teenager when rock and roll first came out and I remember doing the "bop" at sock hops at the high school similar to back to the future movie and I remember bo diddly with his flying v and tremelo sound and all i can remember is his one song that hit the top of the charts if anyone can point out another feel free smile

the audacity program is the way to go, as far as how to get it into your pc to use this program your going to need some kind of recorder with left and right rca outputs and a chord that has 2 rca jacks on one end an a single sterio plug on the other that plugs into your pc mic input you have the option of recording all the tracks and mixing them in the recorder and feeding this into the audacity program and it will convert it to a mp3 file or you can send 1 track at a time and use the audacity program to mix i prefer mixing it first and sending it to audacity it arrives as a sterio recording and final editing can be done lile fade in or fade out equalize compress ect....

I will chime in with my standard so-1 it looks exactally like a stratocaster and the intonation and fretboard action are to my standards, it was  made in china and i have played mia's fenders and there is no difference. most or all of the parts for mia's are not made in the usa so what is?
