Hi Russel,

Good storey, it could be a Dean Martin record [if he was still with us] I do hope it's a made up song rather than you writing from the bottom of a glass and the pit of despair?

Anyway another good one

zurf glad you liked everything but the "B" its easy to play if you capo 3rd fret and play the open chord positions eccept for B and C#minor but its a easy tune to strum i cant promiss to write a song without B but i will concider it for you zurf

Zurf wrote:

Stinking B chord.  I'll play the song, but with an "arrangement" that avoids the B.  Just because it's you Russell, I'll leave in the Bm (unlike other 'arrangements' I've done).  Love the lyrics, love the pace.  I've always had a soft spot for folks who get addicted to drink - one of those "There but for the grace of God go I" things perhaps.

This is an excellent song with a real "Country" feel to it.
Well done.
That Chopro does get's abit frustrating sometimes.
Here's a site where you try out your song before you log on to chordie http://webchord.sourceforge.net/
Converts it into Chopro format to see how it looks.
Anyway it's something more to play around with  smile

Thnk you Russ,

I am listening to it as I write. As I guessed I had a different melody but similar tempo, I like our version best though.
