Go to a reputable music store. Try as many guitars as possible cheap and expensive, you have no obligation to buy and you'll have a good idea as to what you want and suits you best and they can advise you so ask questions. An electric will be easier to play than an acoustic.

Welcome Cenela, learning can be hard, remembering positions, how to finger properly and strumming or finger picking patterns. First question I'd ask is...how good is your guitar? If it's a cheapie chances are the strings are too high off the finger board and or the neck is too wide or deep. My advice would be to go to a music shop and try some good guitars, if you're serious about playing you'll try this. Play some of the tunes you're doing now then the difficult chords to see if it's easier to play. The strings may also be a factor if they're too heavy guage? For acoustic guitar I'd advise 10 or 11 guage. Hope this helps. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Sorry, but no I cant maybe someone else can. I can tell you that Tony Iommi detunes his guitar down one or two steps to get that deeper creepy sound. Hope This helps a bit?

I know how you feel Jeff. It seems every other vehicle is a white van, or blue van in the case of Amazon deliveries! As I live in a terraced street, the delivery person will knock door after door if the can't get an answer, they can't just leave the parcel as they'd get stolen!
You've written a very cleverly composed song.

Peatle has excelled himself with this documentary video , and this song would not have seen the light of day without Peatles songwriting talent

McCartney has often said that there was a rivalry between him and Lennon, they would try and out do the other which we have all benefited from in songs that are still some of the best stuff 60 years later. There was (as well documented) a lot of acrimony between all four Beatles especially Paul and John, and they were still trying hard to out do each other after the break-up eg: Lennon's "How do you sleep" and McCartney's "Jet". Pundits like to blame Yoko for the break-up, maybe she was part of it but there must have been lots of other stuff like affairs with other bandmates wives, The feeling of invasion by Yoko during recording sessions etc. Don't forget Ringo was first to leave the band during the recording of the white album. There's lots we don't know and may never know. I hate "Let it be" due to the depressing way they were depicted in the original film and the awful recording techniques used with several producers used, excluding George Martin but including Phil Specter. Shambles! It's a shame as there are some great songs on the album.

I think that's a great song, knowing you the fishing theme is an analogy for you know what.
Hope you don't mind but the second verse doesn't seem quite right, may I suggest...

This chase will never end..to replace..

Keep repeating the same old sins?

I'm glad you got the innuendo, to me it started as a break-up song using car parts as a metaphor, but after the second verse it got to be like hard work trying to be dirty yet clean?
Thanks, check your inbox....

This song was inspired by Peatle. His work always has that effect on me. He posted a song yesterday in blues style, I wish I had his blues y voice...

Don't Keep Your Motor Running Phill Williams

[E] Don't keep your motor running.

Don't [A] like your bodywork no more.

[A] Don't keep your motor running babe.

Over [E] heating that's for sure.

[B7] Oil pressure is getting low down.

And your [A] gas tank's got a hole.

Don't [E] keep your motor [B7] running babe.

I don't want you any [E] more.

Your [E] winshield's got a spider.

Aint been [A] washed since '94.

Yeah, your windshield wiper's broken.

It don't [E] clean the glass no more.

Your [B7] paintwork needs a touch-up.

And your [A] road tax lapsed for sure.

Don't [E] keep your motor [B7] running.

I don't want you any [E] more.

(CHORUS)

[A] Your tail light glass has broken.

And the [E] bulb is on the floor.

Your [E] tyres are down to the wire.

It [B7] skids right off the road.

Well your [E] seats are torn assunder.

See the [A] road right through the floor.

The steering wheel is a monkey wrench.

You cant [E] close any of the doors.

The [B7] motor sounds like hell on wheels.

[A] Who could ask for more?

Don't [E] keep your motor [B7] running.

I don't want you any [E] more.

I think you've described yourself to the tee! Some are born great, others have greatness thrust upon them. You come into the first category, a natural leader yet too humble to expect the rank and file to follow you. Keep doing what you're doing with these word pictures.

That's a really sweet looking weapon there Jim. I've been tempted to buy on line a few times but I want to feel the guitar and play it as I hate to be disappointed and have to send it back. I did it once with my acoustic D'Angelico bass which I find hard work to play and the thought of playing a two hour set gives me night mares. I'm certain your LP will give you sweet dreams...if you can sleep!!!

Sorry I've not been around too much lately as I've had the workmen in for the last 3 weeks and then I got COVID-19. Not a bad dose but it has stopped me enjoying my instruments and singing.

I think Easybeat entered it or a similar contest a couple of years back and did quite well. Maybe he can offer you a few tips?
