dino48 wrote:jjj, I still have my 99 Ford Taurus it is in good shape and paid for. I only have 51,000 miles on it. I got it from an older lady and she got it from I B M exututive car lease sale.I do not drive much as my last 15 years of work I drove 200K or more per year.
Winters are not kind to cars here. My pickup has almost 160k on it. My explorer has 130k and it looks like it has 500k on it. All rotted and dented from 4 hit and runs. But it is 4 wheel drive. My wifes 02 Impala has less than 80k on it. Her car gets the least amount of use. The only brand new car I ever had was back in 1981. A Vette. (CHEVETTE ). I was 21, still living at home and my biggest worry was what kind of strings to buy.
My newest car is an 03.( Chevy Silverado ) I hate making car payments. For a car payment I can buy a new Strat or Tele every 2 months. I also keep patching my 1998 Explorer to death. Winter is coming and when it snows, it is the greatest car in the world.
Close to the drummer. Then make sure everybody else is louder. (lead, bass and vocals ). Close enough for me to hear myself also.
Due to the present circumstances, I started smoking again.( I know, STUPID ). Now I am smoking electronic cigarettes. Not as good as a pack of newports but they suffice. They keep me calm. Help me stay focused at work and I am sleeping nights again (you were right Zurf, it would happen with the sleeping). Even overslept a couple times. Imagine if they had these a long time ago. I can imagine the burn marks that wouldn't be on the headstocks of my older guitars. How many have or do put a lit cigarette between the string and the headstocks ??? Plus, now if I fall asleep with one of these, I won`t burn myself or possibly my house down. As far as the current situation is going. I have accepted the fact that what is happening is going to happen. It is still awful but I have to return to some form of normalcy. Sleeping again and am starting to stay focused at work. I still have my moments but I am getting better at hiding it.
Thoughts are with you. I hope it all goes well for you
Congrats. So happy for you
I set the clocks back ahead of time. On the plus side. Me Tv showed Get Smart for 2 hours straight to compensate for the extra hour.
Maybe you should take it to a professional. It`s a Guild, it is worth fixing. If it were a disposable brand, it may be worth trying yourself.
I gave the Duo Sonic to my daughter. She likes it. She likes it better than her 2001 "Fat Strat".

I put a half-inch board on the wall, started a pilot hole and screwed them right in. Now my walls are covered with guitars....
Be careful with those hooks. They have been known to eat through the finish on guitars. They are inexpensive and usually covered with red vinyl. Something in the vinyl reacts with the finish. It wont happen instantly but it has happened.
That`s a shame. One of the great old time punk rockers.
Ernie Ball earthwood lights. I used to only use Martin Silk And Steel until they changed the way the strings were packaged.
I have always needed a stand and books. In 30 years, I can only remember about 10 songs in my head.

You were right Zurf. 2 days in a row I have slept almost through the night. Hopefully I can get some major sleep time in this weekend
Well, the melatonin stopped working. Back to 2 - 3 hours sleep again.

Happy anniversary in advance to both of you. Hope you have many more.
Today is my 24th wedding anniversary. Obviously this one is extra special. I intend to make it a happy day
If it is strictly cosmetic reasons. Maybe you should leave it alone. If the grain raises from whatever you use, you will wish you did. Is the fretboard solid or a veneer over a cheaper wood. Usually a nice looking binding on the neck is covering up a veneer on a lower priced guitar.
The melatonin bought me an extra hour and a half on Thursday night. Friday I fell asleep at 9pm, awoke at 3am. And slept more from 4 to 7am. I had to eventually
Thank you to everyone for the advice. It is 8:45 and I just took a melatonin. Hopefully it will work. This 2 - 3 hours sleep each night is really starting to wear me down. Good night everyone.
Anybody have any idea how to sleep?? Extenuating circumstances have caused me to lose sleep. 3 hours each night is a miracle. Having to drive all day doesn`t help either. Can`t use alcohol or any kind of pills due to an earlier substance abuse problem. Any ideas would be helpful.
Update--- I have the guitar back. Had it back for about a month. Still haven't played it yet.
Try opening another account. With a slight change in your name and different. Kind of like a clean slate
We just told the kids. Here goes. My wife has osteoporosis-arthritis. Will likely be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. Liver and lung cancer all from breast cancer back in 2006. Sorry to be depressing and thanx for everyone for letting me vent
One of those was a 60 Buick convertible. Do you know what would look really good on that car? My plates
