Bree-03...for the first you made an good choise to go to chordies forum.
And for the second : some easy songs to play are "house of the rising sun"(the animals), "sweet home alabama"(lynyrd skynyrd), "bolevard of broken dreams"(greean day), and other songs with like 3-8 chords. try these ones and then you can level to "anrchy in the U.K(sex pistols), "bulls on parade"(rage against the machine) and "sweet child O' mine"(guns n' roses)
I did these and can play solos for many different song and im makin' my own... and by the way i have played in 4 months now...

Re: Why does everyone like the Strats so much? (17 replies, posted in Electric)
Well...an strat is like the standard for the most guitarists, many "big fellows" play it and its also an great guitar for newbies.
For the bigger guitarists that can play on all guitars without problems is it: "its all about customizing baby" but its an very good guitar that many ppl should have played.

Re: Strats and Telys???? (25 replies, posted in Electric)
This was an nice question.
I have played for 4 months and learned easy things like sweet child o' mine, anarchy in the u.k and bulls on parade and things like that.
Ive got an stratocaster-copy that works very well (i have tried real models to in different shops), but once i tried an telecaster... and it was an totaly diffrent thing : the weight, shape, sound... u got to get used to it.
And if ur an newbie, play STRATOCASTER ![]()

Re: WHO INVENTED THE FIRST ELECTRIC GUITAR? (10 replies, posted in Electric)
Well i think the first electic-guitar is an telecaster. Then an great man named Paul Les made the legendary Les Paul model. Then the stratocaster came, thats my favorite exept for the Gibson SG that also is an very good model.

Re: Your Top 5 Guitarists of all time (167 replies, posted in Electric)
Nr.1 : Buckethead
Nr.2 : Slash
Nr.3 : Gilmour
Nr.4 : Tom Morello
Nr.5 : Jimi Hendrix
All of them are very good guitarists, specially BH. He does those "uberfretstyle" thing and taps like an god.
Slash does the classic-rock solos, also very good.
Gilmour does soft-kind relaxing solos.
Tom Morello... Yay! Very good sounds, especially in Rage Against The Machine.
And Jimi Hendrix... god now and then but i dont like him like an person more like an guitarist.
