Welcome to you also Lauren.  If I missed any one, sorry.  Come back often and join in the sometimes turbulent conversation.  Not really, as stated above, ask lots of questions.  You will get an answer for sure.  And feel free to answer some for yourself.

I guess I have to learn guitar first, then maybe branch out to other instruments.  I envy you guys.

That's good that you have someone pushing you to come of age.  I do prefer old music to most new stuff.  I guess thats where I'll remain.

A great cover.  Good sound.

You don't need a reason, just some money to get that next great deal.  It's all relative.

Now that doesn't necessarily make it true, but hey guys.  Common sense prevails.  Woods like a little oil now and then.

I just pulled this off the first site I googled.
A well-oiled rosewood fretboard is essential to protecting your guitar's neck and its overall value. If a fretboard becomes too dry it can cause warping and cracking. Protecting your guitar's fretboard can be accomplished with very little effort. Preventative maintenance is the best insurance for any instrument.

Sounds delicious.

I usually have too hard of a time finding papers that large enough to roll them.

You just roll it in newspaper and light one end

Good for you and good for him.  I have a Fender acoustic sitting here for a long time waiting for someone in my life to get interested and I will do the same.

I think Snark will turn out to be a winner in this conversation.  Once you've tried a snark, you never go bark.

All is fair in love and guitar technique.  Of course it is alright to sub a chord if it sounds good to you.  Many of us often take the short cut to make it easier. You don't have to follow the rules to be a good guitarist.  I do the same as Jerome, I use a G7 or C7 instead of a G9 or C9.  They are close enough that no one will ever ask you why you do it because they won't notice.

I've had my Snark for a year or two and I love it.

When I first married my wife, 14 years ago, I would help her clean the kitchen, fold laundry, etc.  She would always tell me that I should fold the towells this way and put the dishes in the dishwashher that way.  And to this day, everytime I help her, I still tell her that it doesn't matter how she does something, as it shouldn't matter to her how I do something.  I try to explain that we learned differently, there fore we do things in different ways.  Our habits were a learned process that we learned beore we got together.  She has calmed down a little after 14 years, but she still tries to tell me how to do it. Actually I changed a lot of my ways, much more than she changed hers, so I do a lot of things her way.  This is life.

Are you missing the button on all songs or just some?  I don't think the capability is available for every song.
