Jim its funny you posted a comedy song ,for  years  I  have  written comedy  songs  but  I  usualy  only  do  them at  private  functions  or  party's  for  friends as  some  of  the  lyrics are  a bit  crude  .I  think  I  can adapt  the  one  you  posted  though .
Brian  We  used  to  do  the  Dave  Edmonds  stuff   a  few  years  back  so  maybe  I  can give  it  another  go ,re  the  Quo I've  tried  to  avoid  them for  years even though  I am a  big  fan ,maybe  I  will    try  one  or  two  of  theirs .
Joe, when I  played  with  Cindy  Scholl  from Maine we  used  to  do  the  Van Morrison  stuff always  went  well ,great  suggestions guys  .

Lou Reed meets Iggy Pop ,well done Scott.

A few years ago we were booked to play a st patricks night party for a bunch of expats in greece .now as a band GB  didnt travel light wealways had a light show an our own kick ass pa system ,ear bleeding loud so we set up and kev our suport act did his usual  60s pop thing and then we took to the stage starting off with a good irish song  whisky in the jar followed by 2 Rory Galagher songs and that about exausted our irish repertoire,so we continued with our usual rock and blues set only to be stopped by the organiser saying  that paddy murphys grandma or some other quaint irish person would now get up and perform unacomanied irish folk songs. Now had  we had earplugs and been paid upfront then I would have probably smiled and laughed it off however we hadnt been paid so my immediate thought was to start packing my gear and leave them to it .Anyway two drunken irish folksongs later the organiser is asking for some one out of the audience to help by singing some more irish songs, however the night was saved when the audience responded with bring the band back on..So we played for an hour and left saying thats the last st paddys night we will ever do.
