Dino, I'll disagree and say that the percentage of Chordists (Chordites? Chordians? Chordiers?) are familiar with Uncle Jerry…

I believe I read somewhere in these pages that Chordians is the preferred word to reference the family here. smile It does roll easily off the tongue.

You can also do it with Paint that comes free with Windows.

Roger

That's what I used to reduce it.

Roger Guppy wrote:

If you wold like to forward the original picture (not one you have reduced) to me I will do it for you.

Roger

Thanks Roger.

I sent them both to Amy last night. It was easier to send an attachment from someone in my email contacts list.

I am pretty it has to be less than 10kb and no more than 60x60 (that is configuration of what I have used).

Roger

It's 31x24 and 18.6kb.

I tried reducing it again but it still says 18.6kb. Doesn't make sense to me but that's what the picture info says.

How small does a picture have to be so it will upload? I've reduced one down to 18kb and I'm still being told it's too big.

I'm always in awe of folks that can throw a song together at the drop of a hat. Something I have never been able to do.

Nice job!!

Pm sent.

You have serious G.A.S. You should seek out your local GAA (Guitar Acquirer's Anonymous) chapter. You need help. smile

Good luck with your project.

Not sure that I'll be overnighting, but I do want to come. If I overnight, it would probably be Sat into Sun unless Normtheguitar works things out and needs a ride.

Bring cots and/or air mattresses and tents?

Bring that pop-up we sheltered in for the hurricane. There is a vacant spot right next to me. There is a water hydrant and electrical outlet.

Sounds good!  We'll need some details to try to firm up a plan on where to stay and what to do with the kids (leave em with grandma, likely).  I'll get at ya via email!

I've been thinking about the kids and may have an idea. 2 girls in the 10 year old area, right?

D and I have had zero vacation since our remarriage and after seeing those beautiful pictures, you have both of us panting to get to your little shindig, my friends.

The BIG disappointment came when I saw where I thought UJB was posting from: South Carolina. However, the "SC" stands for "South Central" Pennsylvania. sad

Yeah, sorry Bill. We're up here in snow country.

ugb the trains and horse things look great,I really wish I could come too your gathering and go too Amys also.

It's a pretty cool event. I usually go every year. They really focus on the days when the steam engine was the workhorse of industry. There's a lot of Arts & Crafts stuff too but that's not my thing. I can appreciate the amount of effort that goes into making all that stuff but I'm not one to buy any of it. Now AuntJoe on the other hand.......................

A couple years ago there was a group of Civil War reenactors  that set up camp. Every few hours they would shoot off one of the cannons they brought with them. It would  really echo all through the valley. I told one of the guys that I would take the cannon home with me so they didn't have to load it back up on the trailer. For some reason he didn't accept my gracious offer. He did however offer to sell it to me; for $25,000. yikes

Who is the on-board graphics designer around here? smile

WARNING!!! Thread Hijack!

With so many folks from the Island involved in this thread, I was wondering if someone could help me understand something.

There are several different names used when referring to your country; UK, Great Britain and England. Could one(or more) of you folks clarify the different names for me? It's something that has nagged at me for some time and I never had a chance to ask a native. smile

Thanks.

Is the chordie logo font something that shows up in a list of fonts or did someone design it just for the site?

I went through my selection of fonts in "Word" but didn't see anything that resembled it.

Certainly, anyone visiting can do so without having to lug multiple guitars along!

But there's something about having your own guitar. When I got the Eastman awhile back, I couldn't understand why I was tripping over my fingers with songs I knew well. Came to find out that the Eastman neck is slightly narrower. It didn't take long to make the adjustment but it was different enough that I couldn't hit the strings right.

I do not understand why the epiphone is not liked I have played a few and I think they are a good low end guitar.

Epi was my first guitar in 1982. At the time I knew NOTHING about guitars. I bought it because I liked the tobacco sunburst finish. A year later I took someones advice and replaced the plastic nut and bridge with bone. Huge difference in the sound. Played it for 10 years and then took a guitar sabbatical while the kids were growing up and doing the sports thing. Pulled it out 2 years ago and still enjoy playing it.
