Take care Bill our thoughts are with you and Dondra .

So l supose I'd better put a couple of greatful dead songs into the set? Any suggestions ,last time i saw em was 1972 at the Bickershaw festival in the UK  a couple of years ago I got a set of live recordings of their set from that gig but there at home in Greece and not with me in the UK

Ami please have a look on my face book page theres lots of photos of me and the band I would be honoured to let Chordie use any of them .I'm not sure how to re size them though.

Looking good Scott I have a squier and it plays better than my old fender strat but I might add not as good as my Yamaha Pacifica

How about  this  for  blues or  rock

It can be a difficult decision to make .On a bigger scale ,but still with the same relevance,my band we to play support to two very big bands at a festival ,but due to the egos said bands who I wont name ,our slot was cut .The other support band a UK based tribute ac had arived with out any instrument as the organisers had prommised to supply them. The organiser had the nerve to ask if we could lend them ours as we would not be playing.
My answer. F###k off.

How ever among freinds the answer would have been use mine.

Thanks for the comment K.I might addit into my boxing day set at the village pub ,unless I can find an Rc 3 looper then Ill play the whole set electric .Its difficult to know what acoustic songs to include to pad out a  50 min electric set to two hours ,my current looper only holds 11 tracks ,so that plus the 3 in my trio only gives14 and its not enough.

I really need a boss rc3 loop pedal  urgently cos my rc2 doesnt have enough space ,so please santa  drop one off when your passing so I can prepare all the loops for my boxing day solo gig.

Phil take a  writing pad to bed with you let your mind run free and if you wake with a lyric in your head jot it down the wrirers block will soon lift.Ive written loads of songs in my sleep, wdll it works for me.

Thanks Jim glad you like it .Dont know who the pic of col saunders really is I suspect it may have been Lefteris the bass player when he got married cos he looked a lot different then ,his wife Daggi does make exteemly good finger likin chicken though. Not to mention the black forrest gateux

Certainly shorter but as for darker its either a trick of the light or it needed washing lol,my kids sent me grey along time ago

Found  this  old  vid  on my  drive   from some  yrs  back   Brian ,Lefteris  and  my  self  having  a  bit  of  fun with  Possession over  judgement  day

Just thought dont play to loud its easy to get carried away with volume you need to be able to hear each other clearly then you will become tighter and soon be able to anticipate what each othe will do if you stray from the pattern.Concentrate on beginings and endings a disaster in the middle can often be covered up .

Decide what you will play get one member to play it through just the rythm. Then you all know whats suposed to happen .Dont be phased if some one says the original or sombodys version  doesnt go like that.unless you are a tribute act it doesnt have to be identical ,put your own stamp on what you do.
Make sure you are all in the same tuning and know what key your playing in also its in the right key for the singer.Be aware that the singer may want to  go up or down a key so prepare your self for that.I remember one band I played with and the singer turned to me as we were about to start the first number and said we'll play this in f sharp tonight which completly threw me and it took me a verse to figure out where the song was going and where to play the lead breaks. Most of all practice all your songs prior to rehearsal so you know whats going on and if possible record your sessions so you can see how you progress.Good luck and I look forward to hearing you

I've  found  that  it  can be  easy  to  make  mistakes  with  it  and  for  that  reason I  wont  use it  live  unless I  pre  record  the tracks .However  it  is  a  great  practice  tool and I  use  it  daily. I think  the  effects are  a  bit  basic and  I  also prefer  to  use it  through  a  second  amp or  through  the auxiliary channel of  my  line 6  spider 4

Maybe the old one needs a new battery lol

Just  by  chance  today  I came  across  a  Squier  Strat  in a  junkshop  with  a  sign on it   saying  needs  attention and  a  price  tag  of  £5 .Quicker  than a  speeding  bullet  I was  in there asking  what's  wrong with  it . The  vendor  said   its  missing  some  electrics ,to  which  he  showed me the  back   of  the  guitar ,the  plate covering  the  whammy  bar  springs   was  missing  exposing  the   insides. Ok  I  said  handed him   five  pounds  and  left  before  he  changed  his  mind .Got  home   re stung it plugged in  sounds  great , sure  theres  a  few  dings  and  knocks   but  five  pounds  for  a guitar  that was £160 new got  to  be  a  bargain .
