I wish you guys would not keep putting these fancy do-dads up on here!!
First it was Russ with his automatic tuners; my Fender Strat went and ordered itself one and now it is Tenenment Funster with his Power pins. My Tanglewood acoustic has gone and ordered itself a set of these.
I am banning my guitars from e-bay and Amazon.
Roger
Get well soon amigo and please give all the pretty nurses a New Years Kiss from me.
Roger
P.S.
As the kisses will be from me She Who Must Be Obeyed cannot object ![]()
Unfortunately the picture you sent me Gavin was only 500kb and when it is shown at this size it is rather grainy.
Anyway here is the guitar in question, very similar to my mid 70's Melody 12er but hardly surprising as Melody made guitars for Eko
Roger

I normally use nylon .67mm ones for two reasons. They are flexible enough for me to both strum and pick and they are bright orange, so even if I do drop one and it goes and it runs under something to hide, I can easily find it; ![]()

If we look at this version of the carol: http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.r … e-faithful
and press the chopro button you will see this:
[G]O come, all ye [D]faithful. [G]Joy-[D]ful [G]and [Am]tri-[G]um-[D]phant,
[Em]O come [D]ye, [A]O [D]come ye [G]to [D]Be-[A7]th-[D]lehem.
[G]Come [D7]and [G]be[D7]hold [G]Him,
[D]born [G]the [Em]King [Am]of [D]angels:
[G]O come [D]let [G]us [D7]a[G]dore Him,
[G]O come [D]let [G]us [D7]a[G]dore [D]Him,
[G]O [Am]come [G]let [Am]us [A7]a[D]dore [G]Hi-[Am]m,
[G]Chri-[D7]st [G]the [G]Lord.
It is written with the chords in the place they appear in the song and when the proper formatting is added it should look like this:
So pressing the chopro button will show you where the chords should be and if it is any different when you look at the normally formatted version something at your end is preventing it.

My new girl friend Zurf........................... ![]()
No I lie!! It is my 24 year old granddaughter, Emma. ![]()
It will never be used as: a/ I do not want to damage it and
b/ it is made of metal and far too stiff for me
Roger
A very special young lady gave me this for Christmas.

Roger
Great to hear from you again. I hope you and yours all had a super Christmas.
Roger.
All the songs I have looked at are OK. Please give examples of the songs that are troublesome.
Have you changed anything with your computer lately, for example new PC/laptop, new Operating system or changed resolution setting?
You could try clearing your cookies as that sometimes helps get rid of gremlins in the system.
Roger
Great to see that you are not letting your debilitating illness get the upper hand and it seems as though you are getting tremendous support from 'SWAMBO' (She Who Must Always Be Obeyed)
.
It is rather far for me to come for a jam, but I hope there are locals who can.
Roger
Hi Barry,
It means that you have 100 songs in your songbook. That is the maximum permitted (although I do know some that have more than that
). Start a new songbook and you will have no problems putting them in there.
Roger
Great guitar, congratulations. I hope you will be very happy together for many years.
Roger.
P.S. Love the cat ![]()
Nothing wrong with your voice apart from needing to loosen up a little as Phill said earlier. It gets easier the more you do it.
Great to hear you bringing your songs to life. (A song ain't a song until it is sung
)
Roger
Both are great but for my money I prefer the slightly slower V2 version.
Roger
A friend of mine inadvertently downloaded malware and although it was relatively easy to get rid of, he still had problems with adverts popping up. I found that it had infected Internet Explorer and had to revert to the original settings to clear it. It is possible that something similar has happened to you.
Roger
I am going to try and install the Stetsbar tremolo on the Les Paul it was designed for it I will see how it works out.
Don't say things like that in hearing distance of 'Uncle Sam' (her name
) she might get ideas about a different whammy bar......
Yes it can be set for alternative tunings, but I have not yet learnt enough about standard tunings to want to get into that.
The only downfall with it is that there is not a proper instruction manual with it but one can be downloaded from their website.
Roger
It is a great addition. OK it is not that cheap, but tuning and keeping in tune is an absolute doddle.
It is also fun to de-tune it just to watch the tuners turn themselves ![]()
Roger
Do you remember the Fender Strat I acquired at the end of October?

Well, while my back was turned it went and got itself a new gismo:

Great gear Jeff. I would love to hear the Fender with the Roland electrics, I bet there are some great effects there.
Roger
A lot of them are posted between 06:00 and 08:00 GMT Phill. If you log on first thing in the morning there will probably be some sport for you
.
