Hi,
If I'm centering around C (maj) would you call this chord (low to high starting 3rd Fret with C) C,F,Ab,C,G (second inversion?) "Fm9"?
OR G7b9,11 no root or 5th...
I know the latter chord makes less sense exept that's it's the dominant if we're calling the tonal center C....Maybe it's something
completely different....Sound great tho try it...
ALSO:  Sorry if there's a better way to write/convey the chord itself...Great site...can't wait to look around
Dave

As an afterthought I suppose I should call it Fm9 and call the C the V7...I just like to try to think outside the box as it were...

I would tend call it a Fm9/C since the G is on top and the C is in the root position but either way its a nice sounding chord smile

Still can't work out the pics thing

You have to upload it to a site like Facebook or Picasa web albums first or email them to someone who has a website the steps are
1.right click on the photo and select properties 2.right click on the address and it will turn blue right click and select copy
go to Chordie and open the post then and your photo will appear you can look at how it is done by clicking quot on any post with a photo. the post will show url but that's only because it is converted by the image code

I like that they do not have that anoying ashtray on there.  I loved my blond Tele except for that stupid plate they have on all of them, kept getting in the way of my right hand.  I just saw a Dean tele typewith humbuckers and a single at a pawn shop,, but they want way to much for it and the  2 Epiphone LP 100's.
I could buy a new one less than they were asking, and they had missing knobs, or wrong hardware,, sheesh waht do they think, no one can look stuff up on the spot?

beamer your right about over priced guitars in pawn shops years ago that's where the bargains were until the owners started looking up the prices and now they ask retail prices or more because they think they have a classic

Very cool, Russell. I don't recall ever seeing a Tele with a coil-splittable humbucker at the bridge ... interesting configuration. I just love black transparent finish!

TF It is a relatively new concept they have been around for a while but I didn't see one till a few weeks ago I think it combines the attributes of a Strat and a Tele in one guitar but my Les Paul has no need to worry about gathering dust I can find time for both. I agree with the beauty of the black transparent finish it sets it off nicely smile

Call me crazy but this guitar was calling out to me begging me to give it shelter and being the big hearted fool I am I bought it! smile
It is a Modern Player Fender Telecaster three pickups mini toggle and a 5 way switch for split tones and I love the finish and design.

Well, Happy Christmas to ya Russell.  I can say first hand that's a good'n!  #4 son got married a little over a year ago and I got to use one of these videoing the Ceremony.  (Not Devon... Grant, he's adopted and about a year younger than Devon)

Anyway you should put it to good use with the music you are producing and the vids to go with.  You must have been a very good fellow this last year for Santa to splurge like that!

Take Care & Stay warm over the Holidays!

Doug

Happy holidays to you as well Doug I think it will serve me well, I do have a Nikon but it has such a wide field of focus I have to get really close and I have a HD web cam which gives me an idea that to use all three and combine them will be kinda cool smile

I did a lot of research to find the best HD camcorder for filming videos that are not budget busters I found one, it has all the features I need and since I will be shooting with a recording mic plugged into my Tascam DP24 I don't have to worry about the sound. this cam has some really nice editing features that will save me a lot of time before I transfer it to my PC and open my film software program, I almost went with one that had two stereo mic's but it lacked the zoom feature and only gave a wide angle shot. so this is my Christmas present to me lol smile

If you cannot make it, I will do my best to schedule a visit to your place for a jam. I know a few others within a day's drive who might be willing as well. Keep Rockin' bud!
