Hi Grah. I always said once I stop enjoying performing I'd give it up. When covid hit all the venues had to close for the best part of 2 years. When the opened again I played a couple of gigs but the buzz had gone. It was a trek driving to gigs and driving home cream crackered, lugging amps in and out, setting up and stripping down. It's the stuff that punters don't see. I liked to play for 2-3 hours regularly and still they want more and if you say no I'm shattered they offer drinks which you cant take cos your driving. I sometimes miss it...sometimes!     

Are you married to my wife too? Just because I'm in my 70's she wants me to sell all my stuff before I die. I may have given up gigging but not living or playing my acoustics(4), my basses(2), my keyboards(2) or my drums(2 Alesis kits). I do have to work hard not to buy anything else I like my meat and two vedge where they are     

I'm 73 and in reasonable health yet my wife is nagging me to sell my 7 guitars .
Does she know something I don't ? It is true you can only play one at a time but different sounding guitars on multi track recordings is cool. I also have a couple of amps 2 sets of speakers etc but I'm loathe to get rid of anything in case I go back on the road... real at 73 ! unlikely     

Hi Grah. Yes a lot of spam gets zapped by the prog itself, maybe you don't get to see that? I'm glad when members bring this nonsense to my attention and I take great pleasure in moving the posts to spam or as in this case deleting must be around 30 posts. I usually investigate them thoroughly before taking action so thanks for bringing my attention to this cretin.     

Hi Welcome. 1 wish that chord finder was around years ago when I was struggling to find the chords to a song. Chordie does that for me now . Though it spoils half the fun of discovery ! some of the guys here have tried it but it's not my thing as I'm old school. I write and record the old fashioned way by playing each instrument and writing each word. If you think it helps you great. Let's hear some of your work.

I have 2 go to guitars; my Fender Telecaster that I got for my 60th birthday and my Crafter acoustic. They were both bought when they were put in my hands, in different shops at different times, but once they were there I haven't put them down. Love at first sight?     

I've also heard that top artistes have had to get back to live gigs to make money as records dont do it any more. Not such a bad thing until the artists you grew up loving dont have a voice anymore. Sad but true unfortunately. On YouTube there are some fantastic cover bands that sound almost like the original vocally but spot on instrumentaly.     

yep, came through loud and proud. nice rendition, i expect it's due to the chord progression but there are echo's of "if i were a carpenter" and the reference to "tide is high". did the AI write all the words and suggest the chord sequence? i like it though
