As you can see from this sample which is openly available on the internet (and therefore does not infringe on copyright) it is in 4/4.
The full sheet music score is available at €4.04 from Musicnotes where I copied this section.

Hi Chris,
You can use the microphone of a tuner (set to Chromatic) to determine what note you are singing (but only by holding one note) but as far as I know there is no gismo to tell what key you are singing in.
Roger
Thanks guys, I probably did not express myself well enough in my earlier post. Thank you for your input and lets hope that Per can sort it out.
Roger
Rickyjack and Hummin n Strummin. Just to be clear. You went into Resources, changed your instrument setting to say 'Ukulele - (C tuning)' and without doing anything else all songs show the correct instrument chords.
I am asking because I have been with 'Ukulele - (C tuning)' for 24 hours and every song that I look at is still shown in guitar. OK I can go into any song I look at and change it individually but the setting in Resources is supposed to be a global override. In the setting I have, the Chord Chart and every single song should be showing the uke chords and not guitar.
If it is working for you and not for myself and dsleland there is something very odd going on, so I am hoping you misunderstood my question and are saying that you can change songs individually.
Roger
Dino, you say it is working for you. Are you sure that when you make the change in Resources every song you look at has been changed to the alternative instrument? I can make the change, to say ukulele, but the songs still all have guitar chords.
Dsleand, I have written to Per the site owner asking him to look into this.
I would like to know if other Members can, or cannot, successfully change to an alternative instrument and see the correct chords after the change, please.
Roger
Great looking instrument and a good deal, congratulations.
Roger
Hi Joey,
Nice to hear from you, glad you are still playing. All the best to you and your better half.
Roger
Have a great birthday.

Howard at the music shop I work at has decided to start a ukulele orchestra so I was forced into getting one (honestly I was really, really, REALLY forced
).
As a soprano is a little small when used to a guitar, I opted to get a tenor:

....and as you can see from the label it was made in Portugal, the home of these instruments.

The only thing I do not like are the 'gold' fitting. They will shortly be changed.
Roger
I got a new Fender 'strat', and here is the photo to prove it: ![]()

Great looking guitar and a fantastic find. Now all we need is to hear a recording of you playing to know if it sounds as good as it looks. ~please~
.
Roger
Congratulations on your new arrival. I hope it will not keep the neighbours awake. ![]()
Roger
This should now be OK. Please report if it happens again.
Thank you,
Roger
Dino, I set the amp up in the shop, the pink bass is for sale and most definitely NOT mine. ![]()
Artie, I had a gig on Friday night and christened it. Plenty of volume if needed and no feedback even with a mic in front of the speakers. Not cheap but a great piece of kit.
Zurf, I will be taking it to the Rock Choir rehearsal on Thursday. I will keep you posted.
Roger
As I cannot play mandolin I think I will tune like a uke, but with a low G for the 4th, and play chords with them.....................
.........for now ![]()
Roger
I also have another new toy ![]()

I recently went to the UK and came back with these. A Birmingham made Melody Major Mandolin Banjo dated about 1920 and a London made J.G.Winder Mandolin dated 1896.
They had belonged to my late uncle and I remember playing them as a youngster and when I mentioned them to my cousin she said her daughter had them, had unsuccessfully tried to sell them and they were kicking around in a shed. I went to see them and the mandolin banjo was presented to me in a hard case, dripping with water and supposed black but white with mould. I feared the worst and opened it with some trepidation....... the neck was adrift, but only unglued, the strings rusted away, but the skin was good. I threw away the case and have repaired the neck and the wooden back which was also coming unglued.
The mandolin was in better condition although there was a split down the front and most of the frets were longer than the width of the neck, again a bit of gluing and plenty of lemon oil on the neck and untreated front face of the instrument. Some of the frets had to be trimmed and the hard case is at a local cobbler being re-stitched.
I also got a violin but that is still with my sister in the UK as I could not get it in my suitcases.

Happy New Guitar Day. I hope she plays as well as she looks. ![]()

Per could not reproduce this glitch and neither could I this morning, so I assume it is OK for you guys now.
If you see the same again please take a screen shot and e-mail it to: admin@chordie.com
Thanks,
Roger
I see exactly what you mean and I have written to Per, the site owner, for him to sort it out.
Roger
Hi Charlotte, welcome to Chordie,
There is no membership fee for Chordie and as you only registered yesterday I am surprised that you think actually paid something. Your forgettery must be even better than mine ![]()
Roger
Hi Pete,
I am in the UK at the moment but I am sure I have the original sheet music for this song at home. I will copy it for you when I get back at the end of the week. As things are going to be hectic for me please remind me again at the weekend if I forget. (It is not that I have a bad memory but I do have a wonderful forgettery
).
Roger
Me too. I am in the UK and without a guitar so I could not have joined in ![]()
Roger
I was going to say "50 bars is no problem as long as the guitar stays in tune and you don't break a string!!"
Then I realised it would be lost on the other side of the pond as you use the term 'measure' instead of 'bar'.
Then I realised you could go into a 'bar' and have a 'measure'.
Then I realised my conversation was getting very stupid so I will shut up!!!!!!
I hope the hangover is not too dreadful Jeff,
Roger
