There have been a couple of gremlins in the works the past couple of days but it should be all OK now. I have just checked and I have no problem accessing the Public Books. If you still have a problem then it may well be at your end, try clearing your cookies, that often clears a multitude of sins.

Please let us know if it is now OK or if you are still having problems.

There has been a problem that Per is sorting out. Hopefully it will soon be put right. Please be patient as some of these bugs can be a pain in the rear end to sort out.

There have been some problems which Per is trying to sort out. As the problems seen to emanate from the song library he has temporarily disabled the 'Edit Song' feature. This will be enabled again as soon as possible.

Thank you for you patience and please keep the reports coming in, not only spam but anything that appears unusual in the songs comments.

Roger

Condolences Jeff, to you and his family.

D'Addario have produced a new string, the NYXL range and a company we deal with has sent us an e-mail with the following links showing the concept, the opinion of some players, how the strings are made and how they are tested. They are all short videos which I found interesting and I also found myself wanting to try some out for myself. smile

I hate to tell you Scott but Bang, Bang is a Cher song. Nancy Sinatra, like so many others, have covered it. Quite like this version though.

Most of the sections have two or more Moderators so that we can have one from each side of the pond to give better coverage. It is impossible to give 24 hour coverage but we do the best we can and only a few get more than a couple of hours freedom before they are banned.

In case you don't know any Moderator can impose a ban and alter/delete a spam link in a signature, but only the Moderators of the section where the garbage is posted, can remove it.

As Russ stated there have been a lot lately, it seems to come in surges but then will quieten down for a while.

Unfortunately the brainless scumbags have not realised that they do not stay long on Chordie so they keep coming back.

Rest assured gtx we get just as annoyed with the morons tipping their rubbish on our site. smile

I just switched on and banned the scumbags. They are all in Guitars and Accessories so it will need Joe or Phill to remove them.

Please put a report in (tag at bottom right of post) as soon as you see spam. I check my e-mails first and your reports automatically generate an e-mail to us. I would have come on Chordie sooner of I have not been checking correspondence from my 4 e-mail addressed.

I do not think any of my tuners have that facility. I was pleased to notice that I am not the only person that applies pressure to the string between the nut and tuning peg then raising the pitch smile.

Anyway my grand kids are back in the UK and all working so I have adopted my students as surrogate grand kids, therfore I am allowed to spoil them one in a while. lol

Thanks for the birthday wishes but they are premature. I gave them out early to clear space and, as they have a two week break, it gives them time to have fun with them. smile

Another great song Ken. Keep them a'comin'.

Roger

Ken, I really, really, really liked your song. I am the same as Ed, I listen to the song before watching the video. The song, the playing and the performance of the song are fantastic. You could not have done it any gooder. lol

A great looking  body, how about another picture of the front? Please.

I have a Yamaha EG112 that I bought as a body and neck, sourced a scratch plate and electrics, and is now my number 1 electric, it is great to play.

Being the eccentric Englishman I decided to do something different for my impending birthday. I have 5 students who have been with me for 2 years or more who all have acoustic guitars so I decided to get them another guitar for my birthday.

My longest standing student, Filipa, has always liked my Fender electro/acoustic and has had it on loan since I got my New Tanglewood. It is now hers along with it's rather battered hard case, mind you she is in Germany for 2 weeks and will not know till she returns.

For the others I bought 4 used, black electric guitars, had the bodies repainted and rebuilt them with new strings, strap and gig bag.

AnaTeresa, who is a very good singer and rhythm player, has a Maison with twin Humbuckers.

Raquel, who is the heavy rocker amongst them, has a Dean Baby ML.

Daniela, who is shaping up to be an excellent lead guitarist, has a Aria Pro.

And finally my little princess Lia, who is just nine and is starting to play some lead parts, has an Encore with a single Humbucker. It is slightly smaller than a full size guitar and so suits her smaller frame.

As three of them came for their lesson today, and they have just started a two week holiday for Easter, I have handed them out today and delivered the fourth one today.

I had some very excited students, making lots of noise, both vocally and musically, today smile.

Hi David,

You cannot change your user name, but I can. The drawback is that you could possible lose access to any songbooks that you have.

I do not know of anyway that you can delete your account, apart from not using it and allowing to be redundant, but again I can do so for you.

Please write to me privately if you would like me to do either of these for you.
