Ok ... Here we go again.  Looking for Suggestions for Two Songs and Two Different Genres.

This time around ... looking for YOU to put YOUR NAME DOWN with 2 GENRE`S you would like to be Covered during the month of September.   At the end of the month, those NAMES and their chosen GENRE will go into the HAT (yes... the Hat is back this month) and a Name will be RANDOMLY pulled out of the HAT and that Chordie Member will get to Choose One Song of Their Choice in the Genre they Choose.

For example:  Jandle ... Country and Rock  .............. so using this example, the Name and the Two Choices of Genre would go into the Hat. If Jandle got pulled out of the Hat then Jandle would get to pick 1 Song of her choosing from Country and 1 Song of her choice from Rock.

NOTE:  It does NOT matter if any Members picks the same Genre as someone else, no matter how many times that may happen because, if your Name is drawn, then YOU get to Pick not only the Genre but the songs in the Genre.

READY ... SET ... GO!!!

For this month of August, looking for Two different Categories Songs.

Thanks everyone, TF, Tig,  Phill and Peatle for your comments, I really appreciate them.  This whole writing poems or songs is fairly new to me and I have only tried writing a few over the last couple of years.
Thanks to easybeat who took this poem and made a song out of it.

Was sitting down today replying to emails and this popped into my head.

SO MANY SONGS  - Jandle 24.7.18

So many sounds
So many beats
Got so many songs
Can`t stop tapping my feet

The rhythm, the rhyme,
The challenge to write
By no means an easy feat
Something I want to complete

The lyrics, the tunes
My desire to write looms
Thinking melodies, harmonies
Thoughts come alarmingly

Yeah so, many sounds,
So many beats
Got so many songs
Can`t stop tapping my feet.

Thanks Peatle .... I am tryiing to learn those little picking bits, they make a difference to a song don`t they .......... takes time to learn them though aye ........ well for me it does  smile

Grah1 .... thanks for having a listen and comments.  Yep it was just me and guitar and nothing fancy, still trying to learn the guitar slowly but surely.  Still avoiding songs with the dreaded F chord on guitar as well lol smile

Thanks Tig for those suggestions smile and agree, heaps of choices for these ones smile

Anyone else got some suggestions?

(edited by Jandle to add "and agree" comment)

Here is my attempt at Heart of Gold, Neil Young.  Hit a few bum notes singing as I am still focusing on learning guitar and the little tricky bits (well tricky for me lol).  Hoping to get a chance to re-record this one but with it bucketing down tonight, my recorder is picking up all the rain noises, so no more recording tonight.  A busy week ahead for me, so not sure I will get another chance to record it, so decided to put this up anyway.

A great song written by you Jim, there are heaps of lines in your song that are really descriptive.  Well written, and can definitely visual the scene that caused you to write the song.

zurf, nice to see you back here.  Comments left on sound cloud but I thought you did a great cover.  I thoroughly enjoyed it smile

JIm ..... wow you have done it again!  That song made me feel for that woman, her pain and wondered what was going on in her life .   So well written once again Jim and some great lines in there.

arkady .... that was so good.  I listened a couple of times to it and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I didn't think it was rough at all.   It took my imagineation away to where  I could imagine people dancing to that in a garden in that lovely old fashioned style of Royalty back in the day where they would curtsy and bow before joining hands and proceeding to gently dance around the garden.  So nice, well done.

Peatle ........  this is a really good one of yours.   I know I enjoyed it last time I listened to it too.   I just love the slide guitar, it has such and awesome sound and you play it very well.  Makes me want to learn to play one but don't know if I have that natural "blues" sound vocally ......... one of your talents is your blues style.  Well done you smile

Grah1 .....  You and your friend should be very proud of that piece, well written and performed by you both, good one smile
