Hey Joe! Thank you for the details! I haven't seen this issue myself. Can you specify what version of Chrome you're using? Click on the three little bars in the upper right hand corner (under the red X), then on the drop down, click "About Google Chrome" and you should see a Version number on the next page. The current version I have is 40.0.2214.91 - if your version is a number lower than that, updating Chrome might solve the issue.
Please let us know what the version number is if it's different, and then update if you're able to!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Amy
I never heard of it. It's possible that it could be one of the stations provided by the satellite companies (a station that probably few people actually watch), but never saw it offered on Cable. The major cable providers are Comcast, Cox, and Time Warner (there may be another but it's not coming to me). The major satellite companies are Dish and DirecTV. I'd look into the providers directly and see if anyone carries that actual channel if I were you.
EDIT TO ADD: It could also be a free over the air broadcast station that's only available in select areas. More and more American's are "pulling the plug" and going with OTA TV service now-a-days to save money. In that sense, to augment the loss of "Cable" many of us are using internet TV services (like Amazon Prime, Netflix, and HULU Plus). There are billions of "channels" available on the Roku (a streaming device for internet services like those mentioned and many others) that are broadcast either free or for a monthly fee (like the previously mentioned). This could be one of THOSE... in that case, you'd be better off paying for a spot on CDBABY or some other video broadcast service, IMHO.
Hmmm... I'm not seeing this issue myself using Firefox.
Hi! Thanks for letting us know. Not everyone is having the issue you describe, and our admin has been making changes to the layout recently. Can you please provide details as to the system you see this on (mobile device, PC, Mac?) And the browser (safari, chrome, Firefox, etc)? This way we can determine where the issue is and help to prevent it from continuing. Thanks!!
Redbyrd wrote:Can't figure it out. Worked fine on my cellphone when I first started. Logged in on my computer and I have all the options. Its a different view on my computer. Its like the one you have. Guess I'll have to create my Songbook from there. Great site! I played years ago and kinda put it down but getting started again and having all this info is really great.
I was just about to ask what you're using!
On the cell, is it an Android, iPhone, or Windows Based Phone? What browser were you using on the cell? The admin is looking into optimizing the site for mobile devices, but at this time it is only OPTIMIZED for computers. Of course, you can still use a mobile device, but everything might not function properly. We'd love a bit of feedback to understand what's being seen on different devices and those devices browsers. I personally find from my Android Phone using the Firefox for Android browser that I get the best results (better of course on the computer though!)

Dino, I even made a whole post about thumbs up and stuff! tisk, tisk, tisk... check this out: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=22039

If you're just unsure how to use the copy and paste functions within android itself, this link may be of use: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ho … xt-android
Hi Redbyrd! You can't really add a song from just anywhere to your Chordie Songbook, you can only add songs that you find on Chordie. Basically, it's just a way to kind of bookmark your favorites that you find here. So, first you'll need to find a song you want to "add" within Chordie, then with that song open you will see the "add to my songbook" option on the page.
Happy NAD! Enjoy it and have fun!
I'm not all too familiar with the Songbook app or Software, but I *think* I might have used it once. I believe it requires the actual Chopro file. To get to this, you'll need to open the song up, then on the far right side of the webpage, above rating, you'll see "Chopro". Click on that, then you'll need to copy the text of the song that opens up and paste it into Songbook. Many songs may require additional formatting. If you HATE coding and formatting, you'll HATE doing this.
I enjoy it, but it's too tedious when there are other options available. For me, simple print and keep a binder of songs works well. Sometimes though, I wish I had the files on my Tablet, in that case, there are some apps available that work quite well (not with Choride, but they work).
I highly doubt he's heard of me, but I have heard of him!
http://www.soundclick.com/player/single … p;newref=1 I'm sorry you had an issue with SoundClick. It likes to open up new windows like crazy. The above link will take you directly to the player page of that particular song (uploaded today just for you, but I'd been playing with the idea of getting the tracks lined up). When done listening, simply close out the window it opens and you shouldn't have further issues, I hope.
I should note, this is allllll another member here at Chordie and the tracks were made a few years ago (all I'm worthy of here is background/duet vocals and lining up the tracks)
---- WAYNE , I figured out how to line the tracks up! SURPRISE! I know, I know it's not super duper great, but I hope you approve!!!! If you don't, feel free to disown me, give me 20 lashes with a wet noodle, and I'll cry but happily take it down too.
LOVE YA!
Bill, glad you're still listening to the doc and have a way to enjoy the random music on Youtube.
Sure hope you feel better soon! A lot of the Chordie members have music on reverbnation. I haven't tried there yet. My originals are on soundclick, here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_mu … ID=1094680 (I don't claim the cups song though... I just hadn't recorded that with vid and was going away on a trip and needed to put it somewhere quick at the time). I'm working on a few more. The hubster bought me some recording/mixing software for Christmas though, so I'm working on trying to make myself sound like a full band. It's tricky! LOL! The one song on here, "Tequilla and Jack" is a compilation with a FEW different Chordie members. Special kudos to Russell Harding and JJ Akerman for making it happen.
On a Windows 8.1 PC, right click the photo, edit, then resize. You should be able to shrink your photo down to fit, but it will be TINY! If there's a lot of details, it might not be so pretty.
Hey Bill! At the top of this Acoustic section there's a "sticky" post that's Green. There's yet another chart in that sticky as well! Here's the link to save you from having to search for it: http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=15164
That's the one I've printed out and have in the front of my binder.
Doug's link looks pretty similar!
Amy
You gotta do what you gotta do. As long as Jen's still smiling, I'd say you're doing all right DE!
In the end, it's not about the stuff you buy, or the romantic endeavors, it's about the time you guys take to show us how much you care... even if that time is directly related to tearing floors up and reducing mold spores.
Laughing together is the key! Hugs to you and Jen and a very Happy Anniversary!
Hey Doc! The hubster's been looking at them online but we haven't found any nearby to play. We'd be interested to hear from Chordie members with any experience too!
Glad to hear you broke out, Nela, and got some good grub. Lay low and take it easy for a bit.
Even if you don't use it, it's a really sweet thought and one maybe to put up in a frame with other special ones in that guitar room you'll get someday!
Very nice of her!
Nothing says CRAP like a trip to the hospital and an extended stay for the holidays. I'm sorry you're in there right now especially, although it's never fun, at least they're supposed to help make things better for ya. Hang in there Nela. I can't imagine there's much from NY that'd compare with your regular NELA fare. Get that wife to smuggle some Gumbo in for ya! Get well!
Love ya
Amy
Or bring extra tents... Or extra money for your room!
. Good to see ya, Chris! Happy Holidays, birthday, and New Year!
Hey Bill! Being sick sucks. How you get over it quickly! I think there's links in my profile, if not there's a good chance you can find mine through Pete, or just search the tube for mekidsmom.
Happy Strumming!
Amy
Happy NGD!!!
. Purty Axe!
Merry Xmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year! Strings in the stockings, Mixcraft and lots of reading to go with it, my son handed over his gently used pedal with tons of effects and a looper built in, and then a friend randomly threw an old Korg Synthesizer my way! I am inundated and excited about recording and playing with all my new toys (if I can figure them out)!!
unclejoesband wrote:Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I had to say; thank you Amy for the link. I've been taking lessons to help me learn my scales for 5 weeks now. I started on the Dorian mode last week and when I listened to Run Around I thought; Hey, I think the Dorian scale might work here. Sure enough!!
So guess what Amy? You're going to be my backing track for the next few weeks.
Thanks
I'll have to update my facebook "fan" page...
"I am a backing track"
Do you know that there's a realplayer download option so you can legally (illegally?) download youtube vids/sound files to your computer? If you'd like the original file, drop me an email via the nifty chordie email link by my profile and I'll send it along to you!
Have fun! I'd love to hear your scale on my recording. It might be fun!
Happy ng(adget)d! You're so fancy! Have fun way watching the pegs turn, Roger.
