Dino this is just an audio track the vid was very shaky so I just lifted the audio
This is an mp3 of the same song at the gig https://soundcloud.com/graham-windle/fallin-and-flyin
Well I must admit the gig went well The set was well recieved but the camera true to form failed I really need a new one two songs in green screen nothing else ,when I came off I switched it on and ,,,,yeah it worked perfectly !!!!!!!!! Pam managed to get a good recording of fallin and flyin so Ill up load that when I can .
Very nice song I really like it and your voice is great
Ed its a t66d I will fit a sound hole pick up to it when i get chance
I was wandering around Lancaster today when in the Cash converter shop (pawn shop) I spotted a nice looking LAG tramontane acoustic guitar with a silly low price tag on it so I made a quick call to my band mate Brian who has a similar guitar to find out what it was worth . A short test and I now have a nice new to me guitar lovely tone in almost mint condition (one little tiny mark on the head stock )
yeah Terry was also first choice for Deep Purple but turned both down as his own career was taking off at the time c'est la vie .
Better late than never this is Terry Reid Highway 61 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu5NjVvs-lk ,Terry was jimmy pages first choice for vocalist wit Led Zepplin .
I think I have a recording of it from the last time I did it live about 5yrs ago If its on this computer I'll post it but It might be on a disc at home in Crete,
Dino do you feel the rest of the set is ok I put Cortez in to show off with the guitar at the end lol...
Johnny cash covered l+n but I do have a few of his songs in my catalogue if needed ,Incidentally I was talking to the director of our local theatre this afternoon and she said we havent had a country night here for ages so maybe I'll get to put a full night together later this year .
Yeah if the camera works and if i can get my utube account working again Ill post some vids
My wife and I often discuss songs I include in my set list and I frequently get you cant do that its not folk or its not blues or its not country .I find it difficult to pidgeon hole songs as I do thing many cross over the established boundarys .For example dead flowers by the rolling stones is it a country song several cw artists have covered it or is it a blues song ,it doesnt follow traditional blues patterns but the lyrical content ticks the box.In contrast Neil Youngs Cortez is it folk rock or is it cw.
I'm playing a 30 min set next week at CW club and this is my set list
Falling and flying
Sleepy vampire
Tulsa time
Dead flowers
L&N dont stop here
Cortez
All coments and views welcome
I like the line window to a soul ,nice song
Thanks guys Pam keeps saying I rhyme to much, but I tend to like rhymes as they stick in your head but this was a lot of fun to do .I might play it live in my set at the Lass o Gowrie in Manchester on Sunday night .
Does any body know if a fishman underbridge pick up will work with nylon strings . Ive been thinking of trying a set of nylon strings on my squire acoustic.
This is an experimental song ,my wife said some of my songs had too many rhymes so I came up with this ........

Am
I’ve written a song
G
But the words don’t rhyme
D
Maybe you like it
Am
Maybe you don’t
Am
It might have a chorus
G
It might have a hook
D Am
It could be a song that you all want to sing
C
For sure there’s a method
G
When you write the word
Am
I'm changing the structure
G
To just buck the trend
Am
This is the last line, this is the finish
D
I hope that you liked it
Am
Enough to applaud
Am
The chords are all messed up
G
The progression is wrong
D
But who makes the rules
Am
To say what is right
Am G
Maybe I just hear things different from you
D Am
But every ones opinion is just as valid
C
For sure there’s a method
G
When you write the word
Am
I'm changing the structure
G
To just buck the trend
Am
This is the last line, this is the finish
D
I hope that you liked it

I had one of these in the 60s but the 2 pickup version ,I ended up swapping the neck for a hofner sg neck it ended up as a really nice guitar ,I think the tunamatic bridge could be an option if an original one isnt available
