Ok, I recorded another one tonight at 10.30pm, figured it is the only time before the end of this month that I am going to get a chance to do another Cover from the list above. Gee wish I had more time as there are quite a few I would like to attempt on that list. Anyway, outta time for me.
So here is my attempt at Angie by the Rolling Stones, 'mistakes' and all which you will hear after my 3rd attempt as it was getting late, my hubby in bed trying to sleep and I am in here singing and strumming loudly (poor guy lol). Anyway, kinda a funny song to sing since it is meant to be a guy singing a song about a woman and here I am singing it lol .... oh well I like the song, it was a fun song to try and cover. Just wish I had more time to practice this one.

Ok here is one of the songs I had time to do a quick cover of today Jolene https://soundcloud.com/ukulelejan/jolene
Hoping to get some more done before the month runs out.
I had already done Elvira previously for another Chordie FSOTM https://soundcloud.com/ukulelejan/elvira
neo ... thanks for that re the info on Imovie ... I will have to have a look at the program at some stage. I remember some of the other visuals you did on some of your other songs on you tube which were good too but that one really was good for that particular song I thought. Bit the same with the echo, which on other songs you have done sounded really good so I wonder if it depend on the song choice? Interesting anyway how it works aye
neo ... had a listen to both. ~Rome and Juliet~ you covered and performed so well, it suited you very much vocally (probably your best yet in my opinion) and also you played it very well on the guitar. I liked the video visually how you added the blurry screen around it (which program did you use to video record it like that?). Excellent cover by you, the whole package.
~Joey-Concrete Blonde~ I hadn`t actually heard this song before so after listening to your cover I went online and listened to the original version. Maybe one comment would be a little to much echo on your recording? but then I am no expert, just how it sounded to my ear
Zurf .... thoroughly enjoyed it and liked how you performed it
No worries it wasn't on the list, I know it is hard to get time to practice new stuff sometimes, I have had a hard time getting any done myself the last few months. The main thing is, you stuck to the theme which was a name, male or female in the song or title, so all good
DE, that was so funny, oh the visuals of what you went through lol - thanks for the laugh (at your painful expense which I am sorry happened to you).
Nicely written poetry. Agree with Peatle`s comment.
Lots of fun by the looks, wish we could have got there this weekend but just had to much else on this weekend.
So hoping to get and hear some more entries this month from you all
COME ON YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Totally understand what you guys are saying, I get it. But i still would love to hear you guys playing ... especially for us folks who can`t be there.
Ok I am just gonna say it ...... I liked his music! .... there I said it
I found the guy unusual, definately different in many area`s, strange even but he sure could sing, dance and was extremely creative, talented. Didn't always like the content of some of his music but even then I found him talented. Ok I am now gonna moonwalk outta here .....
(edited to change not to now by Jandle)
Welcome Austin, hope you have an enjoyable time here on Chordie like we all do
Great photo, looking forward to seeing more of the event
Weather here has been lovely but the mornings and evening are starting to turn colder ....... autumn in the air it seems. Still wearing shorts and t-shirts , hoping the weather stays nice for us through to the end of April .
Any more song suggestions or instrumental suggestions?
Neo ..... yep does seem very quiet in here with only you and Roger entering anything this month. I have just got back on Monday from yet another trip way up north (once again) to yet another family funeral (3 since Christmas) hence not being onto any recordings myself. So hoping now I am back, to be able to get onto it.
Thanks to you and Roger and Neo, wow you have once again earned the the title ~The Human Jukebox~ with all your contributions
I had a listen to your songs last night. There were some in there I hadn't heard of before so always good to hear new songs. As for Julia Dream and Roxanne you made them interesting with the reverb or delay on? the effects definately added to the songs
Mrs Brown you`ve got a lovely daughter, was foot tapping material and the voices at the end made it interesting
Angie (a song I have always liked) you covered well and I found myself singing along with you. Also congratulations on your original song Margaret`s Eulogy, anyone who writes an original deserves a medal.
Also another missing for a while from here is Ricky jack, haven't seen him for a while on here.
neo .... you have done heaps with music over the years. Lots of different stuff too, amazing
Thanks CurtRHCP, sorry for the late response, didn`t see your comment before today
Just awesome all round, great lyrics, vocals and guitar
Roger great to see you back joining in
The song you chose was great, you did justice to it and it really suited you. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. Great lyrics too.
Ok, here are some that come to mind for songs that mention a color.
Yellow submarine - Beatles
Purple Rain - Prince
Red Red Wine - Neil Diamond
Baby Blue - (can`t remember who by)
Blue Suede Shoes - Elvis Presley
Yellow Bird - (can`t remember who by)
Blue Berry Hill - Fats Domino
Hi Roger, yep it is open, there is no set number of songs for either category whether color or instrumental. There hasn`t been set numbers on Suggestions for a while now
Thanks guys for understanding
