If I were there, I could probably suss it out, but not being able to  see it, I'd do more harm than good. Good luck with it.  Is there a teen you could bribe?

A couple pictures from our adventure.  I haven't uploaded the ones from my office where Detman101 was checking out my guitars.  I've replaced all of them since we've jammed.

Me. This is on the 3D target course.

Detman. This is as close as he gets to smiling in a picture.  He's on the porch of the archery clubhouse.

Me again - it's at my little slice of heaven.  I manage this archery range and clubhouse in a conservation area as a community volunteer service.

OK - so it's not guitars, but it's still wood and string...

I love ya man, but 20 minutes of viewin on short notice when i'm working a school project with my daughter, fighting a stress attack, and laying out a project plan and budget for my archery club in order to play "guess which few words are my favorite" is a lot to ask. Just tell us what you like.

That's a darned shame. I hope their furry friend didn't suffer.

I spent the day with him today. We spent a whole lot more time poking holes in things from a distance than we did making strings vibrate to particular frequencies, and we had an awful lot of fun doing it.

Well.  I guess my stuff is out there.  How about that?

My work isn't "out there."  I was just learning to record when my pc crashed. The best place to hear my work is my front yard on a pleasant summer evening.

I finally got the chance to listen to your songs.  Very nicely done!  And don't you have a lovely voice?

That's a drag.  I had much the same thing happen not long ago.  Then my new laptop decided to go bonkers.  Fortunately, it was temporary insanity.  For the second laptop.  My condition is more permanent, but fortunately not debilitating.

Hi Zurf--thank you so much!  I will--I like to chat! ha!  Also, I just realized that the "report" button and the "quote" button are so close together that I almost "reported" you--hahaa! Sorry about that if I accidentally hit that in my haste! smile

LOL.  Go ahead and report me.  I'm one of the moderators for this section, so the report will come to me.  I'd tell me that I want me to settle down and that I don't want to see me acting up like that again.  Then I'd slap my wrist.  I probably deserve it for something anyway.

Congratulations. Lovely children. Your wife must be beautiful.

I've been thinking of him and praying for Dondra's health.

Well - since you insist...

Topdown on his porch where most of the acoustic action took place.

The now infamous Roscoe Jones.  If there's an old country guy he doesn't know, it'll be the second we've found out about.  He's never played with Eddie Arnold, but other than him we haven't stumped him.

Cool.

I had the chance to play a Ric bass at a pawn shop one time and OMG.  It nearly played itself.  If I could think it, it came out my fingers.

That looks like a guitar that needs some jazz played on it.

I have stopped posting on several interest forums because they are so negative. Everyone is seeking how to twist the words of others to fit some preconceived notion or other and the whole thing is hijacked over grammar and vocabulary. This forum is not as busy, but it is universally positive and encouraging. I prefer that to high speed, low drag negativity.

That's why I prefer acoustic, I guess. That didn't make sense to me. I'm glad that you like how it turned out.

I saw the title of the thread and thought that the best song to start it with is "Only Daddy That'll Walk the Line." Now I'm off to listen to the others.

Thanks.  I've put a timer next to my desk to keep me honest on practice time.  I've pulled a few lessons on soloing over the minor pentatonic scale and will use those to get things started.

Happy NGD Zurf!!! Nice looking guitar. Did you borrow the short pants and jacket from angus young?haha

Well he said they were on a break from their tour and he didn't need them for a while.

No.  It's just that it was 58 degrees and blowing like a son of a gun.  So I wore what I called "the heaviest shirt in Florida."  It's corduroy with insulation and a wool flannel liner in the placket.  Perfect for that night, but not so great with shorts or to go over a silk Hawaiian shirt.

But my hat makes up for a multitude of fashion sins.
