Nice looking guitar Jeff.
Roger
Phill why not use Audacity? It is free, you can convert to wav, mp3 and many other formats, you can adjust volume overall or just in a part and much more.
Roger
He was an incredible man and an inspiration to us all. R.I.P.
Roger
Well, as I see it, you have one of two choices to make!!!
You either get a new guitar or a new husband.
It is cheaper to get a new guitar, so economics demand that that is the way to go. Also training a new man is one heck of a chore so take the easy path.... NEW GUITAR. ![]()
Roger
That is one nice new baby. Congrats Mitter B.
Now you have to buckle down, practice, practice and then practice more until you can do justice to her
.
Roger
Jeff, the last part of one of these Flickr! photos is: f59708f842_m.jpg
Try changing the 'm' before the '.jpg' to a 'z' for slightly larger or to a 'c' for larger picture still.
Roger
This is what I see Jeff:

Roger
There is a saying "No good deed goes unpunished" but I prefer "No good deed goes unnoticed by Him" which seems to true in your case.
Roger
Welcome Mitter B, nice to meet you! Looking forward to some photos to prove the NGD

Pull up a chair, sit back, relax and ask away. ![]()
Roger
Hi Bob, Welcome to the forum, please check your e-mail
.
Roger
Thanks. Now I understand I have never heard that expression before, maybe it is an American idiom. In the UK it would be a quaver (1/8th note), a semi quaver (1/16th note,) a demi semi quaver (1/32nd note), a hemi demi semi quaver (a1'64th note)......... heck this is getting ridiculous ![]()
I am with Zurf, on the same string, the fastest and smoothest way to play short notes is with an up and down action.

Howard, Richard and I are good friends and as Howard runs the music school he was nicknamed 'Prof' (Professor - Portuguese for teacher). Richard is a big Doctor Who fan with a Tardis drinks cabinet beside his swimming pool and a full size Dalek in his living room so 'The Doc' was an obvious choice.
They were struggling with a nickname for me, which I found amusing, until one day when I sorted out Howard's PC for him while Richard was there. Howard commented to Richard "The boy's a genius that PC has been a bother for ages" and Richard jumped on it and I have been 'Genius' ever since.
When Richard and I have a gig he will have mentioned my nickname several times and then ask if anyone remembers Thunderbirds. He then goes on to say that I am the father of 'Brains.
Roger
Resurrecting an old one here but bear with me please. The finish on this guitar soon became chipped and tarnished so my friend Richard (The Doc) asked me to strip it and let him have it. It has been a while but he took it to an auto body shop and had it refinished and lacquered with my nickname on it to match his Tele which has 'The Doc' on. (He also bought a Tanglewood so when we play together we can use out matching Tanglewoods or our 'signature' guitars). ![]()
As I have been waiting 6 months for this it is like having two NGD's in one week ![]()
Roger

I have been playing guitar and involved in music for 55 years and I have never heard of a 'tied note'! Rope and music do not go together in my mind (well, not in a way that can be discussed here)
.
I am looking forward to discovering what this is.
Roger
