Interesting.  Using my snark, I tend to tune my lower strings a little sharp, and my high strings right on the mark.  I guess, maybe there's a little something to what he's talking about and I never even realized why I do it besides it sounds more "right".  I'll have to try what he's suggesting and see if I like that better (although I don't have the minus points, I think I might be able to figure it out somewhat).  In the end though, I think every guitar is probably a little different in how IT sounds best!

Nice Jeff!!!

Guys, I am awed by how many responses this post has, and the number of views is kind of insane.  Thank you all.  I have enjoyed reading each one!  As soon as I get some computer time I will be writing some ginormous response to you all!  smile. I am really pleased that you all seem to like it so much.  I will have to put this one into my regular playing rotation, and see if I can get a more interesting recording done sometime in the near future!!

Just at home (actually I was in my moms living room) with my little zoom recorder.  All I did to the file was normalize it and convert from WMA to mp3 (on the recorder itself).  Thank you!!!

Ok Guys, I got a basic recording done and uploaded to soundclick.  I updated the original post, but here's the link down here too:  http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so … D=12756885

Let me know how different it is from what you were all playing!  smile  I don't think I'm capable of singing reggae, although I do think it would make a good raggae song!  I'd like to hear one of YOUR versions!!!  smile

Played around with my android tablet.  I can't do it from the facebook app, but if I view in a browser, theres an option to view a pic full size, then you can copy the link address from the browser and pasting in here should work.  Give that a try, or hopefully another ipad junkie will hop on with an easy tutorial for ya!!!

sad  I don't use an ipad, so I am not toatally sure.  If you long press on the pic do you get an option to copy the link location?  If so you will need to copy and paste that between img tags as described in my "how to post pictures" post here:  http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=14150

Fun song Phill, nicely done!  You have quite the imagination!  I have a hard time writing about things I don't have personal experience with, but it feels like you nailed this one!  smile

Awe, thanks guys!!!!  I'm glad it came across so well on "paper".  smile  I was up until 5 AM playing my guitar last night, so a little tired and sore fingers here today but I'll try to get some recorded version over the weekend so you can hear how it sounds.

I often tend to play and sing in Bflat - so I've got it capo'd on the 3rd fret, and strum it with a bouncy rhythm.  I can totally hear it played in a reggae style!  I think you are probably quite close with the rhythm.  smile

New song that kind of came out of nowhere today... it goes something like this:

I would like to take moment to say thanks for that fine explanation on how to post the pictures.
I would have never figured it out by myself........
I don't think it is anywhere else on this site that I know of............
I wonder why?

Gus

For a while there, only a few of us posted pics.  Then some of us just helped others do it.  Then I said, "hey, if I write something up, it'll make life easier for everyone!"  Duh.  And there it is.  And it's a sticky (at the top of the page it's on) so people can maybe find it easier, but... no one looks at the stickies.  Kind of like reading directions before using something new.  LOL!  I'm glad you found it helpful though!!!!

The guitar is beautiful.  I don't really know much of much about electrics, but it is PURTY!!!!

I'm having an issue getting my "featured video" to change.  "Sort Of" is the new one for those looking.  "Broken on the floor" is an original that I made in 2011.  FYI.  smile

EDIT:  Got it fixed.  You should now see the right one when you go to my YT page.  smile

Very nice Amy. How are you liking your guitar? I remember when you got it but I don't remember the model. The reason I'm asking is I just got me a 000-15m and it looks very much like yours. They both sound great.

That's the one!  smile
It sounds much better in person, as you know.  Congrats on your purchase.  I'm sure you'll love it and never regret it for a second!  Wayne handed me a set of Martin SP's ... and that's what's on it now, but I have to say I like the Martin silk and steels best.  They don't last as long, but they sure do bring out all the mellow tones to this model (and they are super easy on the fingers).

THANKS EVERYONE for the kind comments.  Working on another tear jerker, although I have to be honest, my fingers are sore.  I haven't forced myself to play enough since chordiestock.  That's one thing I NEED to do more.

I did a quick google search but it didn't turn anything up.  Hopefully another member can help you out.  In the mean time, if you can find a recording of it, maybe on youtube, and post the link, another member may be able to figure it out for you with their genius skills.  smile

Hey newbies!  Welcome to the forums!  Chuck - the Chat corner here is probably the busiest, because we all talk about everything in here that doesn't fit anywhere else and half of it is guitar related and half isn't.  Ha ha!  Poke around, get to know some people by past posts, and JUMP IN!  smile

I set those to public, so you should be able to click on the links and view them even without facebook.  Let me know if it doesn't work though!!!

Recorded a couple the other day and put them up just on facebook.  Nothing too fancy, just me and my guitar recorded on my phone.

If you do buy a reconditioned unit, buy it from a store... not some yahoo selling them from their garage.  Personal experience.  wink
