Phill Williams wrote:i didn't want to read the link before adding my 5 pennorth. i bought the 25th anniversary CD last year and it's near the top of my play list and i cant understand why i didn't buy it at the time. i must say though that each time i listen to it, visions of him jamming with those great musicians and using their performances and claiming the writing plaudits does rankle. but once i get past that i can settle back and enjoy some of the best music of my generation.
i've read stories of lennon getting stuck for a word or line and whoever happened to be there chipping in with something but never getting so much as a nod. i guess all writers pinch stuff from others, some get away with it, some don't...eg george harrison and "my sweet lord"
George Harrison got sued by the chiffions and payed them acool million dollars.
I do have one song that almost brings me too a cry,Hank Williams Im so lonsome I could cry.

Who is the on-board graphics designer around here?
That's a good idea or maybe a generic one of each. Maybe topdown could get his friends too do one they made the banner everone signs at his annual chordiestock. Have them crossed like U.K. union jack or a U.S. confederate flag. I hope topdown will see this.

(The person asking the question is in the US of A). It was only because I'd read your link I knew the answer. I only lived here 62 years so still regarded as a newbie.
I am thinking the Spelling? Shame on us we did hi jack this post.
I was thinking maybe we could make a chordie flag, maybe two guitars crossed at the necks (one electric and one acoustic and add in between a uke, mandolin, harmonica, an amplifier etc.) any Ideas or thoughts?
unclejoesband wrote:OK. It's official. It will be the weekend of October 9, 10, 11.
I'll be taking off work on Thursday the 8th to start getting things ready. Local folks will be coming on Saturday the 10th.
This place is in the middle of nowhere so there is very little else to do. Zurf, you think Altoona is close to nothing? You ain't seen nothing yet.
However......There is one event going on that weekend that may interest folks that carry a fondness for the "Good Ole Days" of steam engines and the horse drawn farming era.
http://svheritagedays.com/ It's about 5 miles away and runs all three days.
For the specific location, email me.

ugb the trains and horse things look great,I really wish Icould come too your gathering and go too Amys also.
That was really good,I have an African American friend that has seen me dance he laughs at me and tells me I am overly caucasen.
Paul did a lot of great work well before Los Lobos, and Los Lobos has copyed a lot of other players stuff also.
Paul Simon is a great songwriter and guitarist also,I have not heard his latest.
I do because I cannot sing but they are songs that do have words. Santana has a few good one's. I hum alot.
Graham I think its ok too have a stand you might try too decorate it with the bands name, logo or something like that. You could use some cloth or even a sheet, cardboard or pegboard.
I alway's cry when I hear Myself sing, cause I can not sing good!
Hi Bill and Dondra I hope things are improving sounds like it!

keepitreal wrote:TIG. I just happened to be stood by my guitar when I read your post. Played it through, I think its really fitting for Bill & Dondra. Perhaps we should also spare a thought for NELA and his good lady.

I think I heard it before Russell but it is such a good tune it was worth hearing.
Wicked addition too your aresanal Russell. The guy at the beginning reminded me of a Nazi in a movie.
Nice cord looks like it would work very well. some good tools up at the top you found,Russell will most likely be checking out all this stuff.
Nela you have really had a bad year I do hope you get all rebuilt soon!
joeyjoeyjoey wrote:Thank You for posting the picture. It cleaned up nice and a new set of strings brought it back to life. After looking at the bracing,it was built in 1977 YES-- I did say "This is the last one, really" earlier this year. I must have lied. Am I the only one that has said that??Ha Ha.
