Apparently he plays like that through much practice.  I'll bet he has a guitar in the bathroom, also.  Wouldn't want to waste any good practice time.  I am sure there is more to it.  His brain has to be wired a little differently than most of ours.  Ya think?

Kind of a short interesting piece on how Tommy practices.

He was absolutely a legend.  He will be missed for sure.

I, too rely a lot on YouTube for my music needs.  If I am interested in learning a new song (or one I already know) I find the original artists song on YouTube and listen intently.  What really helps me more than that, I then lookup all the covers of that song I can find and watch and listen to them, as well.  This gives me lots of different ways to learn the song.  Covers are all different and some are even easier than the original.

Do we need an invite to join it?

Great song Grah1.  Sad as it is.  I lived in Crete when I was young, for two years around 1960.  My dad was stationed at Irakion Air Base.  I have fond memories of the place.

I have allergies from hell myself.  You just get through it.

You get used to getting it out of the case and putting it back in after awhile.  Yeahh, it's a little pain, but not not bad.

I've been wanting to join you guys the last few times, but I have really been busy lately also.  I hope to join in next time.

I think you have another hit on your hands, Jim.  Great job.  I liked it.  I need to get off my butt and put some more out.

I would like to try a 000 sometime.  I'm thinking that may be a future purchase for me, although future means way down the road.  I think the smaller body would feel better and handle a bit better.  Norm, the all wood guitars require about 45-55% humidity.  If you have that all the time, then no worries.  It is usually a problem in the winter when you heat your home.  The humidity is usually a lot lower.  I've read where people never humidify and do just fine, but it doesn't hurt to humidify it a little extra.  Insurance you know.

Yep, Martins need to be played.  If he is sleeping, then you owe it to him to keep the Martin singing.  Keep it up.  Everybody wins.

Small victories are good.

As Tyson says, don't forget to humidify.  There are all kinds out there, but I keep my Martins humidified with the Dampits.  I think they are probably the best.  Man, I'm excited for you.  I know how I felt when I first got mine.  And don't be afraid to strum and pick the hell out of it.  It's good for them.

Having a great guitar like that, you will naturally get better at playing because you will probably pick it up more often.  Proud of you and enjoy the great sounds that come out of it.

It's amazing how some kids learn so fast.  It's also neat when you find someone that interested.  Good for you and him.
