my hearing got worse for that experience but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
This.
I really liked that song, you played it real sweet too!!!
Reminds me that easybeat sent me a song to do, but it was when I broke my nail, and couldn't get the strum right with a pick - must get to that one!!!
Cheers

Neo,the human jukebox, thanks for keeping CSOM alive.
Ha ha, thanks ... with a couple of young kids around I don't get much free time, so tend to put the songs in a setlist, give them a quick run through to make sure there are no "missing" chords, or anything unexpected (like the Ab in "Daniel") and edit my chord sheets as necessary. Then I'll make sure I've got about half an hour to spare, 5 minutes to set up, two takes of a song is about 7 minutes, two songs takes about 15 minutes, 5 minutes take down, and I have around 5 minutes spare ![]()
That's why a single microphone into my iPhone is ideal for me at the moment ... ![]()
Cheers

I enjoyed all three videos Neophyte! I was particularly impressed by Daniel. It's not easy arranging a piano song for guitar. Well done!
Thanks - but someone else did the hard work, I just played it ![]()
I had a listen to your three songs as well, the Jimmy Buffet song really suited your style; nice and mellow, was perfect for when I was having my breakfast and morning coffee!! ![]()

I always enjoyed your videos.
Oh, just checked them - nice!!
Hi, sorry to hear about your wife ... I'm still pretty new around here, so I'll substitute a "welcome back" with a "look forward to hearing more from you" ...

Neo - I have hosted travelers from England and Portugal. If you ever made it, you would get the prize for most distance traveled! It's a long way to, but I can assure you a great time!
Thanks for the invite ... look forward to that prize (one day!!) ![]()
Perhaps send each one a private message, asking the same question ... ? (if you haven't already)
Being half a world away kinda counts me out ![]()
In the words of Hugh Cregg (aka Huey Lewis):
"It's still that same ol' back beat rhythm, which really, really drives them wild."
Amen to that!!!
neophytte wrote:You're one ahead of me then!! I can't play drums for nuts ...
Which nuts would they be then; a new Ozzy band or are they to be found in the trouser department?
Probably of the "pea" variety ...
You're one ahead of me then!! I can't play drums for nuts ... ![]()
This is a copy of the desk tape (back in the days of tape!!) that we got from one of our gigs in Fremantle - this was recorded back in 1994, and has audio quality that you would expect from that time.

I think we were intending to use a couple of these songs on the (never released) album, but the quality wasn't up to scratch ...

It's hard top tell from the pic, but the neck looks pretty straight - if it hasn't been played for that long, usually I'll lemon-oil the fingerboard (depending on it's dryness, maybe twice, a week apart) and if there is a large space between the strings and the 12th fret, tune it down to 'D' for a year or two, (so instead of EADGBe, go DGCFAd) with light strings, if the neck is buzzing, tune it up with heavy strings ... the old Yamahas also make good slide guitar with open tuning ...
A lot of drum patterns are the same for a lot of songs:
(bass) (snare) (bass) (bass) (snare) with an open high hat doing 8th notes above it ...
I nabbed the pic from this site, which I then looked around and there's some interesting stuff there ...

bargain!!
And I forgot the classic "New York, New York" ....
Do you have or use any of the products you showed? Which one?
I've got two of these controllers:

Bass with GK-3B attached (although here it's running into a wireless then into the Line6 into the amp):

And a pic of my mate's kid playing the PRS controller:

Same guitar, but running as a guitar, not synth controller, when I was testing out a KLd tube amp:

Somewhere I have some *really* old photos of the GR system up on stage - on an old 110 film camera, but it was big and bulky and it only make it to a couple of gigs ... the controller is a nice guitar, but heavy and a bit awkward to play ... I'll see if I can find the pics at home ...
Cheers
Richard
