Thank You Kindly Bluesky and getfiddle.Lyrics for me are huge as I get to convey what I can't seem to say.
As for talent...I don't know but I'll bet my last paycheck Goodbyebluesky that you have it in you if you don't force it.Writing from the heart is easy if you know where to look.
Thank You and muchly appreciated.:)

Thanks Jerome and Roger. For me I have to do practical cause when I look at it on paper "it's all greek to me".As simple as they are to some one else for me it's a huge challenge to understand and "grasp".
That would be awesome Jerome if you did a scale thingy focusing on theory for me and those like myself that have a hard time grasping paper.
Kudos to you.

Hi Roger
Thanks for the link to Anastasia's question. It helped me to understand a little bit and that I should invest more time in theory.I do have a bit of a learning disability and stuff like this just doesn't stick(which is why I avoided it as a youngster) and now I pay the price.I will try and do gooder.
Thanks Again

Hey Tim.The concert that I was at I believe was early to mid seventies.Slade(awesome band) opened for Johnny Winters. It was a small venue by todays standards(5,000 tops) but Man...the crowd was into it.Both bands blew us away. This was around the same time or earlier, that Edgar Winters released Frankenstein.I'm not sure when that was exactely.I'm not as yung as I use ta was. LOL
Anybody out there know a little Bio on Slade.Johnny Winters had been around a long time before the concert and was a top draw across North America.
I would have loved to seen Johnny in Cleveland.I bet you had a blast.

I dont think it was Kennington Cove we stayed at.Where we dove was at a small fishing village that had a real long point on it.I dont think it was 20 miles North from Louisburg and the Park was Maybe 5 miles from dive site.Dont matter though.Absolutely beauty country and had a great time with all the friendly local people.

Cool badeye. In 1983 me and my buddy went Scuba Diving out East.Went to Cape Breton in hopes of diving Louisburg but the water was to dirty and choppy. Instead we went to a small local village north of Louisburg .We found a box buried in a net in 30' of water.Dug down half way around the box, about 12" and ran out of air.Camped at Provincial Park(can't remember the name but it was beautiful there)Went back the next day(our last day) and couldn't find it.Dam...My uncle in the ministry figures its shine cause nobody would waste a net on garbage.
Plan to go back one day and try again to find it.That would be a blast.
Take Care

This little experiment is designed to get all you Chordians out there that haven't posted anything to post one verse with the chord placement. We've all had our camping times(sum still do) so there has to be a ton of good stories to tell. The chord progression is easy and the melody simple so lets hear "Just One Verse" (thanks topdown)and make the worlds longest song. Please only post the verse here and if you want to share the experience please post it in the Chat Link "This could be Fun" Please keep it clean.
Thanks and looking forwards to sum good lyrics smile

Sorry Russell.I didn't think you were starting cause the idea is for me to pick a topic like campfire stories(Just my idea for topic).I will write one whole verse and the chorus with the chord progression. Then others can follow in with their own lyrics, with the chords set to match the starting verse.Hopefully those that have not posted before will jump in.One song, each verse written by some body else.It could be fun cause we will all have different ideas on how it plays.
I will post up the first verse and chorus in the song writing section of board and all comments posted in this thread so we do not clutter up the board. Sorry about the confusion

Nice daddycool.I'm a big fan of the old west.Doc and Jesse,Butch and Sundance and then there was Billy. One of my favorite albums is the sound track off Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.Bob Dylan not only played a good role but wrote(Knocking on Heavens Door) some great tunes for it.
