On the wall to your right is the mando-banjo - I'm pretty sure it's a MANjo (1930's?)
I did some "work" on a similar one of these, which was my then-girlfriend's mothers musical item - she called it a "banjo-lin" .... when we broke up, I had to give it back, totally disassembled, which I always felt bad about ...
Yikes! Sounds like a lot when you list 'em like that. I better shuffle them around the house again so they are harder to count

Another one from my solo CD:

This was recorded in the same session as "The Spiral Staircase", and the bass line from "Man in the glass cage" is the piano line from "The Spiral Staircase". Had a session vocalist (Janet) do the backup vocals, and swapped her talent for putting some MIDI files onto her sequencer, which she then used as her backup tracks for singing at pubs and clubs ...
I always liked this song for the 'latin' feel, and the feedbacking guitars at the end ... but it seems I'm in the minority

This one was recorded on my solo CD, back in the 90's:

It got a bit of airplay and was featured on one of the MTV videos they were producing at the time (I think it was about fashion or makeup, or something ...), apparently got a fair bit of airplay on some of the college radio stations in the US, which, to me, was a bit odd, as I recorded it with "bits and pieces" of ideas, and was pretty quick to record ...
And it has Sinbad at the end ...

I can answer the second part of that question ... you'll need to wire in a battery and also change the 'mono' output plug to a 'stereo' output plug - this allows your mono plug to act as a switch to turn the battery on or off as needed (don't leave it plugged in, or the battery will always be 'on' and get drained!!), it's not a very complex circuit, here's a wiring diagram I found for EMG 85/81/60's ...

I try to make comments where possible - however one thing I've noticed is that when I click on a link, I go outside of the forum pages, and will listen to the songs on my cruddy $2 earphones (at work), usually I'll flick around some other windows, and when the song is finished I'll close off the window (depending on the site ... SoundCloud I'll usually close fast as it goes into other songs, which don't always reflect the current selection (ie I go from listening to acoustic guitar straight to a new wave dance tune), YouTube isn't so bad, but I might get a "10 fascinating facts about <insert something>", then I'll be down that path for a while, and I'll forget to come back and comment ...
I'll strive to make more comments, because I do listen ... just get distracted in the process .... and I'll try to right-click for a new window first ...

Wow ... very nice, Neo! I played one of these neck-thru -body bass guitars by ESP / LTD a couple years ago, and almost bought it. Even though it's relatively inexpensive (about $750) it sounded great, had lots of sustain, and looks absolutely stunning. The 3 smaller knobs are EQ boost/cut knobs (low-mid-high freq), as it has active pickups. That walnut top ... whoa, baby!
Wow, that's a nice bass - love that top; I had a similar one a while ago, which was an Ibanez with the Bartolini pickups, 18v on board and neck through:
I swapped it with a mate for a Spector 5 string, and was probably one of the swaps I regretted. The Spector was in poor shape, but scrubbed up OK - I still need to fix the electronics as the guy whom my mate bought it off had mucked about with it, and (I ddidn't realize when I was fixing his bad solder job) had made it so the battery for the pre-amp was permanently on ... which was probably why my mate was using rechargables inside it (and the sticker was to cover a hole the previous guy had drilled for whatever reason ...):

No, there are push-pull pots for the coil splitting; the two switches are for pickup selection (Bridge/Both/Neck) and the other is for Passive/Active - the early model Bartolini pickups are really amazing in clarity and tone ....

I was always a fan of PRS guitars; when I was playing back in the 90's, they were always (price wise) out of reach. I saw my first couple in Kosmic music, and was taken my the shape and style of the guitar, could never afford one at the time ... fast forward to the 10's and PRS bought out the SE range, which were mostly affordable, due to moves in jobs, etc, so I finally bought a PRS in January 2011 (click pic for unboxing):
Which I then modded to have an internal Roland pickup system in September of that same year (click pic for installation story):
Then I realised I could afford the guitar I'd lusted after all those years ago, so bought a PRS CE (the early model) from eBay USA, I watched it for a while (months!) an the seller couldn't sell it, not sure why, it might be because everyone wants the 'tiger stripes' of a PRS, but I actually prefer the solid colours; anyway, the Aussie dollar was riding high against the US greenback, so finally bit the bullet, paid a bit for import taxes (anything over $au1k attracts a processing fee + 10% of value) and now own this beauty (the pic is after the clean up):
Even further down the track (last year), I bought a SAS (Swamp Ash Special) in green:
And I see there is another Red PRS Electric on Reverb at the moment .... although it's a bit beat up .... hmmmm .....
