I've found reverb.com to be an effective buy/sell market for musical instruments, and apparently they have cheaper fees than eBay ...

neophytte .........  enjoyed your cover of Father and Son, well played and i liked the picking bits you did on guitar smile  Your 2nd song with your son was well done.   Your son did well as he had learnt the song off by heart by the looks (couldn't see him reading music at anytime) and his timing with the little shaker was on point!  He has an ear that boy of yours smile

Thanks for the feedback smile

Hmmm, interesting, personally I download the chordpro versions of the songs, then put them in a central location, from there I use SongSheet Generator (Free/donationware: http://tenbyten.com/software/songsgen/) on my Mac and PC to fix them up, then use my iPad with OnSong (Occasionally free) to view them at Jam nights ...

Hi Richard. I just checked out your link to find that the AD pedal was discontinued. Shame it looks good.

Yes, it's been replaced by the AD-10, however I've seen a  few AD-3's in the USA on eBay .... for around the $100 mark ... with a new brand like Boss, you can buy it from eBay and if you don't like it after a month or two, put it back on eBay and sell it for around the same price ... smile

Cheers

Richard

Beamer Your vocals work perfect on this one. That acoustic fits like a hand in a glove. Out of everything of yours I have heard so far that is my favourite.

I concur!!

Can I suggest a multi-effects unit, such as the Boss AD range: https://www.boss.info/us/products/ad-3/ it's a quality product that will keep it's value better than the two brands you mentioned.

Cheers

Richard

Thanks for the compliments ... yes, my second son was sitting with me at the beginning of the session and playing his recorder along - he went out the back to get some flowers (it's spring in Australia, so flowers are starting to bloom) for me ... he helped me out on a "Lola" cover smile

Here is my attempt at a Tom Petty song: https://youtu.be/hFStYoLEHlM

I don't know many Tom Petty songs, and was going to substitute it with a Travelling Wilbury's one ... but, this is what I have ... smile and a flower at the end ...

A SONG
People ask me, how do you write a song?
I don't write the song's they  write themselves.
If I try and write a song it won't work.
I can't go to a song  the song has to come to me.
Yeah you know  a song can have it's own  feet.
It doesn't need me, but I need the song.
It has to come to me.
I don't know when a song comes.
Usually it comes at inappropriate times.
When I am having a conversation.
And suddenly  this song will come to me.
And  I got  to sort of go home and write it down.
Pick up a guitar or  put it on  piano.
That's what happen's to me.
A  song will alway's come to me.
I will never go to a song.
If I try hard it won't work.
If I take it  easy and just relax.
That's when it come's out.
You got to  have  a clear head at time's to write a song.
Don't  want to over think it.
And you want to let it sort of  take it's  own course
Yes a good song has it's own  feet.
It doesn't need  you.
A song has a life of it's own.
Yeah a song is it's own beast,  it's own identity.
It has a life after your life.
If it's a good song.
Yeah  a good  song can travel further than youll  ever travel and be around lot longer than you.
Yeah a song writes'  itself.

You should make a song of this!!

Liked it! Neat lively version. It's nice to be able to pull off a song so quickly.  it's taken me years to find a version of the song I like, and I bought a 12 string specifically to play this song that's how much I like it.  Still have years of arranging to go now that I've gotten a chord set that I like.

Thanks - I vaguely remember hearing this on the AM radio in the car as a kid; had to look up a YouTube video to get the gist of how it went smile
