OK you got me hooked on this song...lol I've been playing it everytime I pick up a guitar! Any luck with the lyrics? I found them and tried to run them through a translator but only about 40% will translate into english. I know you lose allot in translating certain sayings and phrases but if you could give me an idea of the the lyrics I'd be willing to write my own with the same meaning ,or as close as I can. But I can't make out enough about the songs meaning to do so with what I can translate myself. Thanks for any help you can offer. Peace!
The chords are D..... A..... Bm..... G..A... if anyone else is interested in playing it. Catchy tune and easy to play...
gitaardocphil wrote:Al, thanks for your answer. You just confirmed what I was thinking, that GOD(in) runs the whole thing. Is Simon & Patrick also a GODIN product.
Yes it is, I just found it.
How many brands does he have?
Hey Doc, Godin has several susideraries. They own Seagull, Simon and Patrick, Norman guitars and Art and Lutherie guitars. Simon and patrick was a company that he started in honor of his 2 sons (hince the name Simon & Patrick). He also has a signature line that carries his name (Peppino signature series). I am a huge fan of this line of guitars! I have owned several and still currently have 2 '95 Simon and Patrick Pro's (Rosewood and Curly Maple) These are outstanding values. All solid wood construction, great craftsmanship, but most of all an excellent woody tone. Also Have a '07 Seagull Artist studio Rosewood. Also a very Fine instruement...IMO
Anouther Great value from Canada is Garrison guitars. The company is not related but they offer solid wood guitars with a very unique bracing system at an excellent price! The bracing system they use is very interesting concept! Check it out...http://www.garrisonguitars.com/ Gibson purchased the company this year. Peace!

Now= you DON'T MARRY TO DIVORCE, which happened to me. Who is responsible, me and she.
CAUSED, like it is almost always: COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN. I really hope you STAY together, the grass might be greener on the other side, but once you are there, it can be muddy, and worse.
So, congratulations. I am no longer ashamed but the truth is, it is failure. I am grateful that we became closer after the divorce, and I can still count on her, but living together is impossible.
I am living alone now, since 2,5 years, and I am not longer working since 3 years, you get the picture? It will be difficult, I think, you start, and certainly in my case, due to my accident, to live
in "time-periods"and this causes a problem because I am too used to be alone.
Hey Doc,
I'm truely sorry to hear of your misfortune but you are wrong in one aspect....You are not alone!! You have many good friends here on chordie and I am proud to be considered one of them. While we can't be there in person we are always there in spirit. So please never feel alone...And besides for a great guy like you it's never too late for another go around. Always feel free to drop me a line to discuss guitars, music or life in general. After all that's what friends are for. Peace! - Chris
The way it was explained to me is that 87% of you tone comes from the top, 10% from the back and 3% from the sides. Laminate backs will have a noticably diffrent sound. the multiple layers of wood glued together restricts the vibration of the back. As far as how much of a diffrence it makes, Try this...Take one of your acoustics and hold it's back against you and strum. Now strum it making sure the back is not touching you. Pretty big diffrence in sound huh... Of course there are several factors that define the tone of the guitar. A quality built laminate with a solid top and proper bracing will still out perform a cheap solid wood guitar. Also the thickness of the top, tightness of the grain, and even the type of neck joint comes into play. Usually a quality laminate guitar is also more stable and tends to hold it's tune better since solid woods are more prone to expansion and contraction due to temp and humidity changes. I have both and while I tend to favor my solid wood guitars I also have a '79 yairi that has laminate back and sides that will hold it's own with any solid one I have ever tried. I should probably also mention that there are diffrent grades of laminates. Some builders use a cheap plywood or luane and then just cover it with a laminate of better quality for the look. Other ,higher end laminates, tend to use a 3 ply system of solid woods glued together to form their laminates. The 3 ply system is by far better and according to some can even hold it's own when compared to similar solid back guitars. Hope that help shed a little light on the subject....Peace!
Hey Doc, Just thought I'd share mine and my wifes wedding song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0HSMMJS … re=related
A truely beautifull song..IMO
Happily married for 10 years
Personally, I'd consider Dazed and Confused my favorite soundtrack. JMO...
Hey doc, I agree with russell here. I'd love to have these lyrics translated. I love the beat of the song. The style reminds me of Jack Johnson (my favorite artist at the moment). It appears to be fairly easy to play also. I'd love to give this song a shot. I'll see if I can find the lyrics online and run them through a translator. If I can find them and the chords I'll post it here for everyone. Thanks Doc for sharing!! Peace! .....Peace NOW!

I'll get some more up soon. Everytime I come in here to post something I end up finding something else to learn and end up practicing it instead of uploading... Had My first public gig last week! Hey Southpaw,
I got one in yesterday! Wow really impressed for the money! Nice finish. The set up was fairly good also... She playes and sounds wonderfully. I was thinking of changing the pick ups when I ordered but after playing it, I think they're just fine. The neck is a little chunkier that I expected on an electric but I actually prefer that feel. I got the 3 p90 pick up version in sunburst. I'm uploading pics (excuse the finger prints..lol) to my flickr account at the moment. If you want to check them out follow the link in my signature. Peace!
Cookie Jar - Jack Johnson.....D
Anouther Lonely Day - Ben Harper...B
Jumper - Third eye blind.....K
Closing Time - Semisonic.....D
Ok here's the deal...I've got a MXL 990 and 991 mic set. I've had this for a few months but haven't been able to use it because it needs a power supply. I'm fixing to order one but would like some recommendations. I'd love to have the vocal effects also. Will a mixer with phantom power outputs give me what I'm looking for or am I barking up the wrong tree? I'm looking at putting between $100-150 in it. Any Ideas?
Also I usually play acoustic and seldom amplify since I usually play alone or with just a few friends. I have a Roland 15w cube amp. So my other question is ...How are vocals going to sound through it? Also if I decide to play my electric through the amp will I need an additional amp for vocals or is it possible to run both through at once for just low volumn at home fun? Thanks fellow chordians for your help!! Peace!
I'm not sure about changing the chords entirely but on the song page if you click the chord diagram of the chord you wish to alter it will give you a choice of alternate fingerings for that chord. Click on the variation you would like to use and it will substitute it for you. Hope it helps! Peace!
