Great choice Badeye my dad when I was a kid  use to love singing that song with his friends. He passed away fifty one years ago everytime I hear that song it makes me smile and think of my dad.

EB no I am just trying a bit humour. Friday is my next beer. I hardly ever have a beer between Monday and Thursday. Next Tuesday will be an exception.. I dont post after a few beers.     "Those lyrics  I wrote are me having a play on "Ramblin' Rose" a famous Nat King Cole song.. White Christmas a Bing Crosby is the other one,
This is why I mentioned Nat King Cole  after your post mentioned Nat King Cole.

Usually when a song comes to me the feel/chords come too, but not with this one.
In my head i hear this as a kinda Nat King Cole thing.

Excellent Beamer .the challenge of getting out in front of people makes most people nervous, .  I use to go to a open mic type thing and the thing I noticed those who got up and had a go, got better the more they did it. Great photo I look forward to the day you do a video.

I should also mention that even though they are a very positive family and fun to be around they do grieve in their own way. Her son said to me something along lines of what follows here.  In the moments after Mum died at the hospice I held her hand for the last time. I felt she had gone to a good place and was at peace. When they took her away I felt a bit conflicted in my emotions, couldn’t help thinking why am I feeling happy when at this time I should be crying and sad. We all left the Hospice and went to Mums house. Everyone headed into the lounge while I went into the kitchen and fed her cat. When I entered the lounge all the seats apart from one  were taken and people were sitting on the floor. I looked over at my mothers favourite chair it was the  only chair  no-one was sitting on. It was then I burst out into tears knowing she would never sit there again. As a family it will be at her house our family home that we will have our mournful moments. Having to sell her house and empty it out is going to be hard as that is where many of our good and some sad family memories are.

TF,  they are a special family and have  a natural way of rolling  along well when they tackle family  hardship in their positive way.

TF your weekly posts have made  me more aware of the genre of Prog rock and how it incorperates a wider range of musical expression more  than I thought possible,.  It has  opened my mind to differant sounds. Also I have been introduced to a feast of exceptional guitarist on your  Flying fingers posts. Chordie Land is a place full of kindness and decency. The knowledge of the folk on here  and the generous way people share  and encourage each other shows me that there is still a good human spirit in this world.  Thank you Chordie.
