Topic: Christmas comes but once a year (12 replies, posted in Songwriting)
Woke up this morning and started thinking about Christmas.
I remembered Bill asked me to write a song regarding my brother as well - so I sort of put the two together
so this is dedicated to my brother Bob.
I probably won't record it - bc i can't do it justice - but maybe if one of you want to - I would love to hear your version.

I will just re-submit a song I wrote from last year. I am working on one for this year but have very little time to progress it past an ititial thought.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannakah, or just plain Happy Holidays- to all my Chordy friends ! May you have an enjoyable and healthy end of the year with family and friends, remember those we have lost, and celebrate the good things and new beginnings yet to come.
Love to all of you

Genetics !
Dweezil did his father proud on this one.
It is a classic "New Zappa" production.
Frank was weirder than anything, but had a great musical talent. Son carrying the torch forward.
Joe's Garage album was one of my fave's
Thanks for sharing

Re: Ever Been Thrown Out Of A Band? (12 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
I would love to be in a band - even if I got thrown out in a week.
Just to say you played in one has so much prestige !
This post reminds me of Frank Zappa and Joe's Garage - fabulous music.
akes it's own sauce...)
It wasn't very large
There was just enough room to cram the drums
In the corner over by the Dodge
It was a fifty-four
With a mashed up door
And a cheesy little amp
With a sign on the front said "Fender Champ"
And a second hand guitar
It was a Stratocaster with a whammy bar !
Hahahahaha
Great post Bill and really interesting stories so far - hope there are more!

Good one Graham !
Looks and sounds great !
Sure feels like a great deal as well.
Interesting in the comments one guy said his had a plywood body, but it played better than any of his strats.
I am of the persuasion that a good guitarist can make just about any guitar sound fantastic.
I have been missing your videos Graham - used to enjoy them a lot. You have a unique voice and style.
Now that you own this guitar I will be looking for a new production !

Wow
These conversations blow my mind !
I did not realize musicians go through so many strings. I think I have changed my strings twice the whole time I have owned my guitars.
However, I don't play or practice nearly as often as any of you.
I can't imagine a string breaking - why does that happen? Is it because you strum too hard, bend to much or what ?

Russell
Got it now - what a beautiful guitar. I would love one, but way ut of my price range. If I had the skills of some the players on here I might consider it, but with my playing ability it would be a poor investment.
Thanks for showing this Russell - and many happy hours of playing this beauty!

Real Nice Russ
Here is a link to demo - might answer questions on the S1
If I could play like this player - I'd own one for sure.
If I was 30 years younger I'd want to be sitting on the couch with her - forget the guitar! ![]()
