Thanks Ctech
It is a song that I feel gets at the heart of a really serious problem here in the USA.
The current issue with opioids is out of control.
I'm still waiting for Graham or someone to do an updated version including the new verse shown above.
I'm just not a good enough player or singer to this song justice.
Thanks for the positive feed back, I appreciate it

Bill's post "Odds Bodkins*, Man! You've Been 'At Odds' With Yourself!" contained this----
" Dondra has given this a name: she call's it Bill's need for "Soul Stability" (that should be a clue for a certain songwriter we all know and love here on chordie - a good working song title I mean)."
I told Bill I thought it was a really cool phrase - and I thought it would make for a good song--- so taking into light some of the things Bill has shared.... I wrote this song.
(Bill If you don't like it - just say so and I will immediately take it down.)
anyways- here it is: I play with a capo on 3rd fret

Thanks for the compliment - all the top wood is Cherry Walnut is middle - I used it to look like a band around. It has great tone. I picked the cherry bc I liked the the litlle grain waves and the worm holes.
I lined all the cavities with copper tape - it takes away all the buzz. - it sounds so smooth
Topdown and Roger - TY it screams for someone who can really play to give it a go - it has a beautiful sound to it.
Bill- trust me- there are a lot of things I don't do well - i.e.. haven't you heard me sing ?
If you need a list - contact my wife - she could give you plenty of examples! ![]()
(P.S. - I haven't forgotten the songs I have promised you - I have some stuff down already - I've just been overwhelmed at moment with a million things going on)
Phill and Bill - TY it was quite a project. I am so happy I didn't screw it up... The neck angle was quite difficult - and the cavities for the pic ups also had to match that angle ( 4.5 degrees)
Ed - Thanks for the comment it was strenuous but fun building it.
As you can probably tell - I love to imagine things - and then create them
Thank you to all the chordians for your encouragement.
This place is the greatest !
I was not comfortable after all the work I had put into it to try to put a binding on it. I thought the cherry top sufficed as the bing look.
Bill - I wouldn't have a clue about a price. I really have built these last two guitars ( Strat and LP) as kind of a long term plan - I am hoping my grandkids will someday be playing them and think of good ol' "Pop" when they do.
Thank you so much all of you -
Jim

I don’t know. If they call me and tell me to remove it , I can easily do it. I’m not selling it. I would think they have better things to do with the state of their finances than chase me down

My friend that I taught with for 25 years retired and I gave him my Les Paul as a gift.
I was missing it one day and decided to build one.
This is what I made. It has 2 Dream 180 Humbuckers. It sounds really good to me.
It was really, really, really hard to make - a lot of thinking - angles and alignment etc.... a lot of patiencea lot harder than making the strat. Here are the pictures of it finished. I was going to upload some of the work photos - but it took much data space.
The wood is layered - Cherry on top, Walnut in the middle, and butternut on bottom.
the neck plate is an engraving of my three daughters..
I learned a lot about the workings of a Les Paul in building this. If only I could play well ! ![]()
Thanks for looking at these

You are really spot on - that name Dondra has wisely proclaimed - "Soul Stability ", does indeed have making of a really good song title!

The song you are playing with church group is one of the first I successfully played. Great song - great message.

WHAT AN HONOR !!
He is an amazing musician - wrote so many hits all over the world.
As a soccer player and coach who played all through the 70's I remember his song BACK HOME for the English World Cup Team very well.
It must have been really cool to play and have him sing with you - absolutely amazing!!
Way to go Roger !!
Thanks for posting.

OK
Here at Mojo Sporting Life - we take our customers opinions and suggestions very seriously- and try to accommodate them all !
This is a superb product.
However, this is the final version because of two reasons:
1) This really is the best there is !
2) there's no more resources in the factory as the labor has all disappeared riding on the inventory ! ![]()
(especially after adding the mandatory Texas Gun Rack to all 4 wheeled ATV vehicles! ![]()
Hope you enjoy your new product !
P.S. For your safety, our modern technology has developed a system in which the weapon will not function if the keg and/or cooler is in operation or the seal on the JD Bottle is broken !

My wife and I went to see Chicago and REO Speedwagon last night at Saratoga Performing arts center in upstate NY. to celebrate our birthdays and 35th Anniversary which all happened this week.
Chicago was excellent, their instrumentation was mesmerizing. Some great songs. BUT, REO SPEEDWAGON brought the house down - absolutely fantastic.
The joint was rocking!
This band has been together for 46 years!!
Amazing energy- great rock music, and showmanship that was out of this world.
From the middle of the first song - the crowd was on its feet for the rest of the concert - amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing !
If you get the chance to see them - GO !

Topic: hUMBUCKER help (4 replies, posted in Guitars and accessories)
ok i NEED SOME ADVICE HERE
I am in the process of building a homemade Les Paul 1959 style guitar.
I have the body pretty much done except for the neck pocket. Which I hope to make tomorrow.
I need to know what humbuckers ( Bridge and neck ) would be good ones to put in and yet be somewhat reasonable in price.
If any one can give me some tips and point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. It was so much easier building my strat than this baby, but if I don't screw it up, I think it will be awesome.
Thanks for any help
JIm
PS
Don't get too technical bc I really don't know much about them ![]()

Whereas with guitar I can play alone (almost said play with myself) in my basement and still feel like I'm learning and improving and making music, or something that approaches it.
