I've always been told I have to tight of a grip on my guitar. It's weird, sometimes im to tense on my picking hand and some times its my fretting hand. Just depends on what I'm playing. Does anyone have any tips on just relaxing?

I agree... it would make for a cool tattoo.  A nice fine single needle for the fretboard, and then  that big ole fat red hatch across the whole thing!  The only problem is that you'd have to show us if you ever got it done!  big_smile ha ha!

Selso, you do tattoos too?  Well my, why didn't you say so before?  Website with pictures???

It's more of a hobby then an occupation. I learned when I was locked up. Great way to kill time. I always loved to draw so it just kinda came natural. One of my many squandered "talents".

This is the best guitar sight on the net.

I made the mistake of saying music had nothing to do with math. My very patient friends schooled me. There is math in everything. Makes me wish I would have paid attention in school

My wife pays me NOT to play, does that count? If so then yes, I am a pro!

They use to play this one at the pizza joint I worked at all the time! Good song but 4 times a night was a little much!

Selso, where is that image on your avatar from?  That would make a pretty nice small black and grey... or even as a solid black tribal piece.  No camera?  Awe... I was hoping to come back on here and see a ton of pics!  LOL... oh well.

I dont remember where I got that off of.

I'm not a tattoo person.  I've been blacked out drunk in some of the worst tattoo ghettos on Earth, and I have nary a mark on me.  I take that as a sign from the Divine.  smile

I have thought about getting the circle of 5ths tattooed on my left forearm, though.  Permanent cheat sheet.

That's awesome. Dont get a tattoo when your drunk. Not a good thing.

I really like it. I can hear other instruments in it. Almost like a full orchestra.

Alas, I have no web cam but if I can figure it out I will. most of mine are real personal but no music inspired ones. Ba fulls me too. Id like to get my avatar as a tattoo, but not in color just black and gray.

My husband is a tattoo artist (as his second job) and was invited to do a demonstration at a "Home show" yesterday. He hadn't planned well for this, he was thinking of just talking about the history of tattoos and what to look out for.  About 2 hours before leaving I suggested he just use me as a "model" and do an actual demo as it didn't seem talking to people for an hour was going to go very well.  Long story short, I got a spur of the moment tattoo on my shoulder. This is very unlike me!  I drew it up quick, he adjusted it, and about 40 minutes later I had a nice little abstract guitar on my right shoulder (back).

All went well, and we had a fun time educating people and explaining that he was only doing a demonstration, not "working" at the show. Lol!

Pics to come ...  anyone else have the love of music/guitar permanently engraved in their skin?

Not yet but soon.

Ive got one too and it's my primary guitar. I have other ones but its all I play. Actions great on mine. I have no complaints
