I have found that with guitars, beauty is only skin deep. Seen some that looked like a weck but played and sounded great. Then others looked heaven then and played and sounded like hell. Never judge a book.....well you know. Happy new guitar day!

Look at Willie Nelsons Martin! Good example.

What is your opinion of the best DVD or online electric guitar instruction course that has plenty of songs?  I have seen some ads for Claude Johnson, GuitarJamz and some others but I don't know if they are that good.

I have seen a lot of complaints about Claude Johnson. I follow Marty Schwartz on youtube like Zurf he is good.

Good for you Dino, the Ipad is a great little gadget. I have a windows desktop at work and have also been provided with an Ipad for when I am out of the office. I am able to hop between the two now easily but has taken a while to reach this stage. The best advice that I can give is not to compare the two systems. They are quite different as I am sure you have worked out already. Stick with it, you will win in the end.
There are plenty of tutorials on Ipad on the web, check a few out.
