A fantabulous evening.
Roger
Hi Wolfman and welcome to Chordie,
Have you considered becoming a left handed player. One of our Honoured Members here suffered a left hand injury some years ago, switched to being a lefty and is now a professional musician. The change over will be difficult, like starting all over again, but the benefit of being able to play properly should make it worthwhile.

I think we all know that the first words you utter at your weekly meetings are:
"Hello. My name is Pix and am a Yari addict........................" ![]()
Roger
Oh so that is what Dm was referring to...............
Roger
Read the reply I gave you when you asked the same question in 'About Chordie'.

Click on "please improve this song" at the bottom left of the songpage, but it is important to use 'chopro' formatting. Details of this formatting is contained in a 'Sticky' in the Songwriting section.
Roger
However if you complete the URL on this form and submit it, the next update will include it and it will appear with the rest of the Neil Young songs: http://www.chordie.com/addurl.php

Fine with me.

Further to my earlier post here is a photo of 11 year old Raquel who has been a student about year playing the dreaded 'F' chord

...... and also 11 year old Joana doing the same. Joana is just progressing to the full barred chord but it is not yet proficient enough for me to say that she can play it yet, but in a week or two I am sure she will have mastered it.

Both photos taken today

I have sent requests to everyone except Paul as I cannot find him with either his name (there are 200 Paul Woods on Skype and neither e-mail from Chordie or Facebook found him).
I am pretty sure that we all have to be contacts otherwise if Zurf is the only person who has all the contacts he will be the only person that can hear eveybody.

I have a big problem with classical guitars. The flat neck is far too wide to allow me to play comfortably unless I go for a 3/4 sized one. However a used Samick CS9-1 appeared in the shop I work and teach at which I immediately put it one one side for myself. It is a full sized but has a neck that is the same width as my electric and acoustic guitar. I find it so much easier to play than any other classical I have ever tried.
Well worth looking at if you are not used to the wide neck of a conventional classical.

Well I reckon that Toots learned guitar so he could get proposals for working out song chords. ![]()

Tuba? Will you marry me?
The way to a man's heart is through his stomach...................................................
I have just discovered the way to a woman's heart (as long as she is a plays guitar
)

**Edited to save myself from being in Otto 2000's bad books**
I hate to say this but I have several 11 year old students, both girls and boys, who can play F (XX3211) and some (X33211). Full barre chord soon for the latter. OK the 'E' string is usually deadened to start with but with a bit of encouragement (and plenty of practice
) it usually soon remedied.

Although I have never heard of Scott Krier he obviously lived life to the full and was not going to let a 'little thing' like a quadruple by-pass change his life, so I already like him a lot. Had he slowed down I am sure he would have not been happy. It is tragic for family and friends left behind, but he lived his life the way he wanted, making music and making people happy. Think of the music and the laughs that you no doubt shared together, I am sure that would be his wish. R.I.P

Number one to me!!!!!
I video chatted Zurf on Skype a couple of hours ago. He is no longer a Skype virgin
.
Roger
Oooops.
After writing the above I see what you mean. I have never used it as I always read every posting but I believe that if you 'subscribe' you will get e-mail notification of any addition to topic.

Hi Jack,
I am not sure where this has come from so I do not know the context in which it is used. I am guessing 'contribute' as in add your words of wisdom to help others by answering or asking questions.
If you are thinking it might mean parting with your hard earned cash, forget it, Chordie makes no charge. We are all here to help one another.

What is black, lives in trees and is dangerous...................
A crow with a machine gun.
I remember Pat Boone singing "Ain't That a Shame" and someone whose name I can't remember singing "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" (Davy was big-time back then - I had a coonskin cap and flintlock pistol that were my favorite toys and often wore them in the bar.)

Sung by: Fess Parker and Buddy Ebsen (Jed Clampett) in 1955
I remember this one well myself.

I am quite sure if he had seriously hurt himself, was cut badly, broke a bone, knocked himself unconcious or similar you, or anyone else, would have been in there trying to help. But slip on a banana skin, dog poop, walk into a lamp post and I think the majority of us will see the funny side of that. Lets face it a lot of the early comedy was slapstick where people were apparently "getting hit or hurt" and going from one incident to another.
You are normal.

Buddy Holly's "That Will Be The Day".
Just checked the date of that, released in 1957, I would have been 10, but does not seem that long ago. ![]()

It is unfortunate that these artistes become so rich and powerful that no-one in their entourage dare say anything against the excesses for fear of losing a grossly overpaid job.
In both cases we have lost an incredible talent.
Roger
I agree Jerome, he is a spammer.
