The making of a Goodall guitar was fascinating.
I went to locate a dealer - the cheapest guitar made by Goodall was $6,700
That is way out of my pay scale for a guitar for the level of playing I am capable of. If I was a good guitarist - I would definately consider something like this - what a beautiful sound and high quality.

Peatle, I have never tried to reach out to anyone - I wouldn't even know how to begin. I think you have to be a member of the songwriteres guild or something before they will even look at a song. I was watching a video on the history of Country music and Kris Kristopherson was working as a janitor at San Quentin and kept giving Johnny Cash's manager copies of his songs. Finally Johnny recorded one of them - "Sunday Morning Coming Down" - which became the beginning of Kristopherson's career. I don't think that work anymore in today's world.

Nah, I don't have a book. I really wouldn't even want much more than free tickets to a concert if a major star ever recorded a song of mine - I'm really not writing for any hope of monetary reward. ( Not that I wouldn't take some $ if they offered, but definitely not my main concern)

This post is a resurrection of an old one. I had written this quite a while ago, Graham did an awesome cover of it. However recently- one of my old college buddies has been going through hell as one of his family members got into opioid use. I went back and added a verse, bc at the time I wote the original, I really had no clue to the magnitude of Opioid misuse in our country. I would not wish this junk on my worst enemy..... it is horrible.
The last verse is the add on.....
Well here is my futile attempt at playing and singing.
After hearing Easybeats jazzy song, I was thinking this might be a good jazz style song - only problem is that I have no clue how to play Jazz 
So this is my version of cascade..... I think pretty good lyrics....

I was watching and listening and began to notice how the head movements were all the same kid of jerky symmetry. Then I noticed - same quirky smile, then the hair color - then i asked my self - hmmm is the quartet a quartet of sisters...then I finally realized it's all the same woman Tatyana.
Very unusual video - but in the end - great musical talent.

I was just thinking about Royalty the other day...... what exactly makes the better than anyone else?
It has never made sense to me.
I was mowing my lawn yesterday and the word "cascade" somehow popped into my head. I have no reason for it at all !
I just started thinking of things that cascade. Got up this morning at 5 am and picked up my guitar... and this came out.
Probably needs to be tweaked a bit b/c I don't know what I'm doing musically

To me the Beatles were awesome. They are the great deceivers however !
They make you believe that every song is a simple few chords. and then they always complicate it.
They were pioneers - unafraid to introduce new aspects of musical performance - attached to genius arrangements and powerful lyrics.
They weren't afraid to do crazy and non-sensical songs, nor were they afraid to tackle social issues. The fact that they appeal to multiple generations validates their worthiness to be called the best ever.
They had the perfect blend of voices, the perfect blend of musical talent, the perfect blend of appearances, and the great ability to build off each other - hence the perfect team.
and best of all - they had fun !!
I believe they are the reason why music became so greatly powerful in the 60's. I was only 12 when I first saw them- my sisters went insane!
I can't think of a Beatles song that was recorded that wasn't a great song in some way.
Any time a Beatles song comes on the radio - somehow I know the words.
They were one of a kind, never to be replicated ! Ride in the car with anyone - when a Beatles song comes on- everyone's feet tap and people sing along !
Phill - I believe they would have made any record label successful - they were that remarkable.

1) she is absolutely incredible - can't imagine the number of practice hours to get to that point.
2) I might as well set my guitars on fire cuz I'll never be able to play anywhere's near that
