I don't know squat about Wilson guitars, but welcome to the Chordie forums.  I hope you like it here and choose to participate going forward.  Good luck with your decision about the guitar.

Minor pentatonic is blue, but dorian is grey.

Shirt's not a guarantee yet. Most likely I'll have them printed and sent to Jeff. You can pay me at the event.  I'll need to know three things:

1. Your size
2. Whether you want a name on the back
3. If you want something on the back, whether you want your handle, your actual name, or what.

The T shirts are Hanes beefy tees in men's sizes.  I might be able to get ladies sizes, which I realize is of no use to Beamer, but Liz and Mekidsmom might appreciate it.

Learn movable major and minor pentatonic scale shapes.  Major for country music and minor for rock and blues.

If you finger pick, the alternating picking doesn't apply.

I have a body part named after a farm yard animal that whoever came up with the concept of daylight savings would be welcome to come and kiss.

My recommendation is that you keep your fingers hovering close to the fretboard then use a smooth flowing motion to play your scales.

To get the smooth flowing motion, get a metronome.  Play as slowly as you need to to play the scale perfectly.  Play your scales 5 to 15 minutes per day, playing as slowly as you need to to play the scale perfectly (with your fingers hovering close to the fretboard).  Be absolutely certain to use alternate picking (Youtube it if you don't know what that means, there are a zillion videos and this is one of those picture is better than 1,000 words deals).  Somewhere between three days and 17 years, you too will be playing scales with a smooth flowing motion.

And no, I am not kidding with the time frame.  Some people get it immediately, others like myself have been at it for six or eight years and are just kind of beginning to get it.

T-shirt design sent to Jeff for review. $20 for a professional silk printed shirt with name on back. We need six takers before that works.  if Jeff doesn't go for the design I sent, I can do iron ons like last year and will come up with something.

Song requests.  I'll move your message for you.

Bring the Martin Amy.  Put it in the hard shell case and gate check it.  I hope to make it and will be bringing Tiny, despite Jeff's condo being primarily furnished with guitars.

If I can make it, the floor is good enough for me.

I'm 50%. Funny honey is out. Is the floor still open?

I'd like to be a fly on the wall, but moreso I'd like to be a picker in that room.

Maybe someday we could hold it in Labrador, and fish for 5 lb brook trout and Arctic char between jam sessions! Just saying ...

I would move heaven and earth to come to Labrador to play guitars and fish for 5lb brook trout.  That is a brilliant concept!

Still working on it, along with my honey. Truck repairs came from the Oh Crap fund. It's running great now. Maybe we'll drive down.

It's a learning experience to jam.  Chock it up under the educational use exception.  If the jam is public and folks are paying, then the venue should be paying for use of copyrighted material.  If it's all just for fun and learning of the folks playing, then I don't think there's an obligation to pay.  I'm not an Intellectual Property attorney, though.  The laws are screwy.

YoYo Ma uses a music stand. If the world's most versatile and readily recognized cellist is allowed to use a music stand, I don't see the problem with a middle aged desk jockey hobbyist doing so. (meaning myself). YoYo Ma doesn't even sing.

Meaning no disrespect to Grah1, I'm not a big fan. Music needs to flow freely and backing tracks get in the way of that.

I haven't checked it yet.  Maybe this weekend. I'm betting it's a loose wire. I only used them for the tuner anyway.

Dirty Ed said that it would make me a famous pop star and instantly turn me into a songwriter of such caliber that my first song would be worthy of a lifetime achievement award.  Not to mention make me grow luxurious hair, erase wrinkles, and put some zip into my step.  But I don't remember anything about a lifetime guarantee other than, "It broke?  I guess that was it's lifetime."

I almost bit on that then I read it again. Ouch! Hopefully he was left alone. On a different note I haven't seen Pix's name on here, what's up with that?

He's OK.  His business has taken off and he hasn't got much time for being on line.  I see him on Facebook from time to time and keep in touch through his lovely bride.

Did you hear about the guy who wrecked his motorcycle and scraped his whole left side off?  He's all right now.

To top it off, the electronics on my Breedlove just crapped out today.  I put in a fresh battery to no avail.
