Yeah there is nothing like actually playing to get you goin. If you are lucky enough to know a drummer or an accomplished guitarist jam with them as much as you can. Playing alongside another rhythm section is great fun and good for your development.
If you cant do this then download backing tracks for your favourite songs - the proliferation of these on the internet is another eason why its much easier to learn guitar these days than it was 20 years ago.
Good work on the finger picking Dino - I havent dont much of that....just a little bit in the sounds of silence by simon and garfunkle. its tricky (fingerpicking) but sounds very nice.
You might want too try Down on the corner,by credance clerawater and some other credance tunes. Also I found that Crossroads by Eric Clapton is pretty east if you play it in an unpluged way and slower.

Topic: Tom Hanks (4 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
I just found out that Tom Hanks dad was the lead singer of the Diamonds and still is too this day. they had a big hit with "Little Darlin" back in 1957. and also some other songs. I can't get it here from you tube. I know a lot of us remember it though.I was only 9 then. I do not know if he has passed away.

yz that's pretty much the formula I followed and I just got some of the harder chord by finding songs I really loved. I have over the past years going back to most of my songs and learned too fingerpick most of them.

Dino I had an 850 Commando interstate for a while ,but when this song was set I rode a Honda CB 250 which was pretty much as quick as most of the British bikes twice it's size back then.Sadly I blew it up street racing when the cam tensioner broke up and wrecked all the valve gear.Parts were hard to find and it sat for many years in the garage while I moved on to BSAs and Triumphs.
I had Hondas, Kawasakis, yamahas that were faster then my my Triumph but none of them could ever come close too the cornering and handiling the British bikes had. The newer ones may be different though. I did have a lot of problems with the electrics on the brit bikes because of the Lucas electricals ( aka The Prince of darkness ).

Dirty Ed - Sounds like a good trip. I'm sure you'll hold up.
Most of my fishing this year has been teaching kids to fish. I've taken neighborhood kids, my kid's school friends, and my daughter's whole Girl Scout troop. Ten of those kids have caught their first fish ever with me this summer. I've paddled flat water too, but this was my first solo trip to the Potomac. And yeah, Zguitar, I'll be back. I found some real good spots just upstream from a convenient put in.
zurf glsd too see that you are teaching younger one's too fish and enjoy the outdoors instead of being inside and on computers etc. I taught my stepsons how too fish and hunt and it was one of the best things I think I ever did. Good luck on the fishing!

Nice photo shoots of your chicken clan, looks like they are all pets. Do you ever have chicken for dinner etc. and feel guilty as you bite into apiece of chicken? Grah I liked that about Amy "The Chick Moderator".
