Amazing lyrics

That is very very cool

It will make a lovely morning for you and your wife, as well as a great song.

Your wife sounds like she has been an inspiration for many years, but became a song writing partner with her insightfulness.  Great line, " defying gravity".

Thanks for sharing and can't wait til you put it to song version , although in its present form it is already spectacular

Patriot - let me know if that works, if not i'll see if I do something else

I have  just pretty much nailed the song " You're still standing there"   by Steve Earle

simple progression and chords - great song... makes very good singalong song ( That's why I like it - so others sing instead of me  smile
I couldn't find it on Chordie but here is link to another site that has it
https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/s/stev … mplified=1

Jim

I chordified it for you
https://chordify.net/chords/jake-coco-s … ts-thieves
It doesn't seem to want to play  but at least you can see all the chords.   You could play the song on you tube and foolow along here on chordify.
Hope this works for you.

That was very good Beamer

It's awesome you and son can do this
In my humble opinion, there is no better way to spend one's time.  It is priceless, no matter what the outcome of the product

I would spend every day with my daughters and Grandson if possible

You are blessed!  Keep it going, Man !

Lol

Only this week I attended a Hospice concert that included Brett Young, Night Ranger and Chris DAUGHTREY before leaving the next day for New Mexico.  I have some great pics that I will post when I get home - but in the mean time I'll post the story here- next morning we are Albany airport getting ready to depart and my wife says - hey, that's the singer from last night. Sure enough - the whole band Night Ranger was having coffee at the next table over.  I went over and chatted with them and showed the really great photos I got as I was at the stage edge.    They were really cool to talk too - we boarded together but in the layover in Baltimore they switched planes to go to next show in Salt Lake City, Utah. And we boarded another for Albuquerque,New Mexico

Two years prior to that when we flew to San Diego for my daughters wedding,we had the pleasure of Meeting the lead singer of the band " slightly stupid" . My other daughters boyfriend was with us he plays in a band called Ridgeline Duo(u can find him on you tube). They chatted the whole flight sand exchanged #'s.  he sent Steve tons of stuff and gave him backstage passes at a couple of concerts- really nice guy!

As for Harry Chaplin- lmao- he was signing autographs after the show and my roommates girlfriend was with us in line - she was a true beauty queen.  He asked her where a good placed get a late night meal in East Stroudsburg was. She told him we were all going to the Lantern on Main Street. We did go there and no kidding - twenty minutes later the Capins and band come there and joined us. He was so nice and even paid for our meals

That's a classic.  Nice wheels JJJ

Buddy Holly. It's so easy(to fall in love)

When is the third match ?
I love the Haka intimidation dance the all blacks do prior to match.
This pretty funny as well

Hope it's a great match!

BGD. Excellent choice !
Beamer excellent choice. I had dinner with Harry Chaplin one night in East Stoudsburg Pa. after he performed at the college.  Superb lyricist - wrote from his heart for sure. His brother was cool too.

Taxi isn't that hard to play except for the bridge part - as a result - I generally just omit it

aka   Willie Nelson's Martin N-20 guitar    called trigger.

he keeps playing it bc he says he can't find another guitar  that produces exactly that sound.
I'd put a picture up but don't have the time.

Those were excellent - thanks or sharing... that would be  a very cool project to pull off- and I have absolutely no idea on how to accomplish that... way above my pay grade ! smile  but it is a great idea.

with my singing and playing ability, I could use a hand held cassette tape recorder or a Nashville sound studio - sound pretty bad either way !  smile
When I record I pretty much just use computer microphone.

Good luck with all your equipment.

I've already had the opportunity to pick one...let someone else.

at about the 2:10 mark  I started thinking to myself -" where are the other guitar players and keyboard player"  then remembered he was a solo act !

It amazes me that one player, one guitar can make so many cool sounds together simultaneously . I'm happy when I get the transition from G to C correct on a down strum. smile

Thanks for sharing the cool performance - something to aspire to (in my dreams!   wink    )

PS - Why don't you do a cover of it, it's your song - I'd like to hear it as it comes out of your head and mouth.
