OK, folks. This is just crazy. Finally pounced out of bed at 5:00 AM. Couldn't wait. I slowly opened the case. The sweet smell of new woods wafted across my face and the whole room has the nice scent. I was kind of taken aback wehn I first saw it, brcause it didn't match the sunburst I saw in the pictures, however I really like the colors. The amber is not as bright as expected and the guitar takes on a brownish hue. But, I actually love the coloring. I am still in the process of getting the Martin SP Lifespans to stay in tune, but that will come as I play it more. The guitar sounds magnificent, deep and bassy, as I was wanting and very crisp sounding. Anyway, these pics arent the best, but will have to do for now.

OK, I decide since it isn't that cold here, that I would open the packaging and show you the case. Tomorrow morning I will awken early and take the guitar out of the case. Suspense.

My willpower is dwindling fast. Yes, the box looks a little beat up, but thank god its in a good case. I will open the box later tonight, them wait til morning to finally get a look at my new baby.

Been sitting here all day waiting for UPS and they just showed up. Brand new Martin HD-28 sitting in the box ready to open later. I will post more pics tomorrow when I get up at 3:00 AM to take it out of the case. It's gonna be a long night.

The sunbursts are great. I have one sunburst, a Fender acoustic now, but after my first Martin, the Fender doesn't get played much. I rattled my brain between a J45 and the HD-28. I jus like Martins a little better.

There's nothing you can do about it. I have a new Martin coming tomorrow. I have saved for over a year and ordered it the other day. Now I wait. I keep checking UPS tracking every hour. That's disheartening. It is supposed to arrive tomorrow some time. My nerves are on edge. I can't sleep. I will share more when I get it. With pics.
