I quite like Facebook as well. Helps to keep in touch with family and friends around the world. And I'm a grumpy, middle aged (well late middle aged :-)) old dude too. My Mother is on it too - and she's even older.

Nice song Ian. It will be good to hear the way you intended it to be played but it's also nice to put your own interpretations in the mix too. Enjoyed playing that. Thanks.

A great achievement for Jessica showing lots of courage and determination.
Sydney is turning on the 'Welcome Home' for her this morning. Going to be broadcast on National TV at 11am. The harbour should look fantastic as it's a great Autumn day here though the seas are fairly rough I believe.

Don't know what ever happened to this guy. He had some great tunes. This one from the 70's I think.

Edit: it seems he still performs occasionally and works in advertising in Sydney.

Re: Tomatoes (9 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
Tomato and Pineapple Jam Recipe
2.5kg (6lbs) tomatoes
2 lemons (juice of 1 and grated rind of 1)
Medium size pineapple (can use tinned but not too much juice)
1 teaspoon salt
2kg (4.5lbs) sugar
Boil tomatoes and then strain through colander. Return to pan and add all other ingredients. Boil until cooked and reduced (should be runny not thick).
Bottle hot.
Hope it works for you.

I use Elixir Nanowebs and like them very much. It also helps to wipe the strings and neck after playing. Try one of these for cleaning under the strings www.the-swipe.com (I've only just got one so can't comment yet but it was recommended by a friend who reckons they do the job).
